MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Annapolis 2114 Generals Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401

"This review is actually based on two visits, not one and they sent me a link asking to post a review so off we go!!! The good: I was able to book the appointment online both times for same day. For the second appointment it was booked around 0630 for 0800 that same morning. Staff is friendly, building is clean, lobby is organized. Even from an initial appt perspective it was a fluid experience from vitals to seeing the doctor/PA. The bad: First appointment resulted in a diagnosis and prescription. Easy enough except the prescription failed to solve the issue. Booked a second appt for follow up ( and the opportunity to pay the copay again). Different doc. This one said they would put in for an expedited referral to a specialist since the previously prescribed path wasn't working. A rep would call me. To recap here, we're at two appointments in a week and $100 out of pocket for copays. The ugly: None of the follow-up/referral ever happened. No call, no follow up. Found a number for a provider in the 22 pages of instructions that could be found via a web search. Called the number, they had no record of a referral, two days later they called back for an earliest appt date in May. That falls into the complete fail category. Moral of the story: Just go to the AAMC Emergency Room. I know I will in the future."

"This place was wonderful. I broke my ankle and my surgeon scheduled the surgery for a week later. I called about 5 different places and couldn't get in. I thought I'd give this place a chance and luckily they were able to get me in same day for my pre-op physical. Everyone on staff was very friendly and caring, especially Bryana (I think I'm spelling that right). The appointment was done in 30 minutes from when I walked in. I would recommend allowing text messages. They'll text a link with patient forms and doing them beforehand if you can really cuts down on wait time. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again."

"I was a walk-in and chose MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Annapolis since my primary care doctor was affiliated with MedStar. The check in was easy and the receptionist extremely friendly and helpful. As a walk-in my wait time was probably a bit longer than others but I understood that. The staff who worked to remove a hearing aid dome from each ear were professional and even better they were successful at accomplishing their task! I would highly recommend this Urgent Care group."

"I would highly recommend not going to MedStar unless it’s you last alternative. Place was almost empty and I still taken 2 1/2 hrs for me to been seen and be on my way. The exam room had not been cleaned between patients as there was tissue and hair in the floor when I arrived. My discharge paperwork was so illegible until some pages were almost blank. I guess no one bothered to refill the toner. No one was at the front desk when I left. I stood there for 5 minutes to pay my copay and ask if the discharge paperwork work could be emailed but no one showed so I walked out the door. The physician assistant was pleasant along with everyone else I encountered. The place was dirty, slow, unorganized with a broken printer. It was truly a better facility when it was run by RightTime."

"I was an hour late for the appointment I made, due to hour sick I was. I was treated like I was never even late. Shout out to everyone working on 10/24/23. It was such an easy, seamless experience. They ran tests and diagnosed me in exceptional time. Definitely would recommend."
