"I love my therapist. It's the staff that works in the office that has no knowledge on people with mental illness. They don't know how to talk to the clients. They ask more questions then they should. They laugh when they tell you, you can no longer see your therapist because of xyz. They are rude, disrespectful. If I could keep my therapist and be done with the office staff. ALL OF THEM ESPECIALLY THE DAUGHTER OF THE OWNER. She needs to be fired and or took a few classes on mental health and how to deal with clients who have it. I told my therapist if I was a cuter I'd cut myself because of her. I HOPE THE OWNER SEES THIS AND FIX IT. THANK YOU"
"When my teen son (patient) came and told me he thinks the Dr needs mental health treatment himself, I knew it was time to get him out. Dr. Heaton’s wife is money hungry!! If insurance doesn’t pay her in a timely manner better believe you will pay it all out of pocket! I had to go back and forth with BCBS and her and finally got my money back, after finding out they did pay them!!! No apology! The Dr’s dog and Wanda are the only compassionate ones there. That place needs to shut down, they do more harm than good. My son did a 360 when he went somewhere else"
"Your mental health has a $$ on it. According to receptionist. We did not use their services. However, the receptionist is off the wall. I didn't even want to give 1 star. My 1st question she laughed at before she answered. When I told her our insurance, which btw, is not bad insurance, she grunted and said okay... She continued being rude. She was going to ask the therapist a question and call me back. I was hoping she wouldn't but I answered when she called back. She informed me the doctor is taking workers comp right now and he makes more $$ off workers comp. If you want to keep what to protect your mental health don't call this woman!!!"
"The receptionist there should not be working with people with mental health issues. She exhibits zero compassion or empathy, and makes sure you know any issues are your fault. I knew this several years ago when I started there, and I know it now, when my doctor retired and she basically said "We don't have anyone to replace him. Have a nice day." The doctor himself was at least 80 years old and spent my appointments telling me about whatever book on history he'd last read, the walk he took, etc. When I told him I wasn't taking my medications regularly he basically said "That's OK," and went back to telling me about his day. I'm worse off now than before I started getting treatment (with competent providers) two decades ago. I can't image worse care being offered anywhere."
"Wow where to start. I guess I will start with the fact that I love my therapist and psychiatrist. I’ve been seeing them both for several years. The office staff, receptionist is another story entirely. The receptionist has to be the single most ignorant, rude, callous and unprofessional person I’ve met in life! If I talked to people like she did I would be unemployed! I made a mistake of misplacing my prescriptions that were mailed to me and looked everywhere for them to no avail just to avoid this woman and I unfortunately had to deal with her and she didn’t disappoint as far as ignorant comments went. After being told I had a balance which changed according to the day from $15 to $45, I was told I had to “pre-pay” before making future appointments because I got sick and didn’t come in to pay right away. Now when she calls me back she actually says to me “I’ve called you and you didn’t respond about your balance but no when you want something you answer “! I could not believe this woman talked to me like this!!! I’m finding another place to go where customer service is offered and people are treated with dignity!!"
