"I have been at this clinic now for five years. I transferred in from a Baltimore city clinic. I have to say the clinic itself is clean and very orderly, however, the staff can be uncaring and just plain rude at times and even though counseling sessions are mandatory, patients do not get any consequences for not attending. IF I had to do it all over again I would never get on methadone I would have just kicked my habit. Due to this program being state funded and run it’s the patients choice as to when they taper off of this medication. Because of that patients end up on this program for multiple years if not the rest of their lives. There should be a deadline as to when you have to get off maintenance it should not be lifelong. However that choice is yours. Good clinic but if your really trying to stay clean this is not the place to come. Mandated rules are not followed and again this program was not meant to be lifelong, it was meant to get you stable and on your way so goodluck and really think about this!!! Hell, Suboxone is better and easier to get off of that’s the other thing they don’t tell you!, how hard it is to kick it, it’s twenty times harder than Dope to kick!!! I’m doing great but I really wish I had been told the truth and done my own research before I jumped on the program. It’s seriously a ball and chain and I’m just addicted to something else. There’s also many people there who are still using. A lot of drug selling going on in the parking lot. Which is Dangerous for the newcomers! Please do your research and do what’s best for you, as for this clinic it’s your standard money hungry methadone clinic. Methadone seeker beware!!!"
