"Great skate shop!"
"carries everything a figure skater and a hockey player would require. Due to its rinkside location, it is very convenient. The hours can be quite flexible depending on the schedule."
"Not a plentiful selection, but it's a small store so I get jt. Skate sharpening could be better. I've had some trouble on the ice after sharpening here. Especially when compared to Iceline or Pure Hockey. Otherwise great for quick equipment needs"
"This place is great, the staff is awesome and friendly. The regulars are respectful of my little guys ever time! I do have an issue with the food area upstairs! They don't have what's on the menus, it's priced super high and the guy who checked me out today could not even figure out what I had ordered...I had to tell him what he rung up on the recipe. I've always felt less then welcome in that area. If you ask me they should drop whoever does the food upstairs! Would have gotten a much better ranking from me if it were not for them."
"Thought I would try Center Ice in Oaks for a different skating experience after skating Ice line in West Chester a number of times(great place). Anyway, the experience was different. Quite a disorganized place. I arrived with my 10 yo son 10 minutes before an 11:30am session. The lines to pay for skating and then get rental skates were horrible. They wouldn't take credit cards (seriously get 'Square' for small business and maybe more then two cashiers) so I had to get money from the ATM and line up again. After paying for the session I then lined up for the rentals. This took half an hour due to the desire of the staff to operate at a snails pace(not sure of the complexity of getting someones shoe size then a matching set of skates....) Anyway we ended up getting on the ice half an hour after the session started. The ice was packed with people going in all different directions. Skating felt like negotiating the carnage of a Mad Max movie, but more treacherous. Only one 'staff' member on duty on the ice with no attempt at regulating the skate direction. (On the plus side my son did learn some good evasive techniques) The ice was in pretty good condition and held up well for the number of people on it. Surprising halfway through the session everyone was kicked off the ice while they spent 15 minutes resurfacing it. I had hoped that this 15 minutes would be tacked onto the end of the session but this was not to be and we were booted off once 1:30pm arrived. So my 2 hour skate session ended only being an hour and 15 minutes. Not such a great experience and I am in no rush to return."
