As a parent, I am reassured by their holistic approach to child development and the lifelong love of learning they instill. We are grateful for the positive foundation they have provided for our child."

"One of the daycare employees was very rude to my family when we were playing on the playground. We didn’t realize that the public wasn’t allowed on before 6pm on weekdays so we were leaving immediately after she asked us to, but then she proceeded to criticize my son and dogs harshly and was incredibly mean to us for no reason. We were moving as fast as we could, it just took me a minute to get my 2 year old autistic son to understand why we were suddenly leaving. It was a young overweight brown haired lady, so beware! She should be fired. I’ll never send my kids here, and I recommend that you find somewhere else if you’re looking for childcare. Absolutely disgusting. Edited to add: It is clear that the 5 star review wrote directly after mine is your own employee, which I find pathetic. That would definitely be considered a conflict of interest. 1. My review doesn’t have anything to do with my dogs or my kids. I’m not sure where the employee that posted got that idea from, but my review is only about the employee’s behavior. To clarify, the signs do not say that dogs aren’t allowed (nor would that be legal). They say that any waste must be cleaned up and not to run uncontrolled, and that the park can’t be used past sundown. You should know your own posted signs. Lol! 2. One of my dogs is a service dog, so it wouldn’t matter what signs were posted anyway, she would have been allowed in anytime the humans were, but that’s beside the point and not related. 3. I admitted that we made a mistake being there during school hours, but we immediately left when told to. There should have been posted signs about the hours that the public is allowed on the playground so nobody else makes the same mistake. I had no problem being asked to leave, of course, as the public isn’t allowed there on weekdays. My problem was the vulgar language and attitude displayed by the employee. I don’t take kindly to people criticizing my family. 4. There is no excuse for the sloppily run operation and cruelness displayed by the girl running the daycare. While I understand that everyone has things going on in their lives (we do too!), a certain level of professionalism is expected. It is not my intention to ruin a business, but I do want to make people aware of how they may be treated if they come into contact with this young inexperienced employee. Do better. If your business is run properly and improves, I’m sure people will notice and write positive reviews. I would be happy to take my review down after a personal apology from the employee for her rudeness (or better yet, replace her with someone who knows what they’re doing), as well as letting my family come back freely (within the hours allowed of course), and if the business puts signs up stating the hours that the public is allowed and not allowed to avoid confusion. This would benefit your business in the long run anyway. I would like to see this business succeed, but it needs to get rid of the bad apples first."

"It is clear that the other person who posted a review did not read the numerous signs posted about no dogs being allowed and no use by the public during certain times of day, rules that exist so as to be able to appropriately supervise and protect the children at the center. While I can understand her frustration at being confused about the rules that were posted that she did not notice, it remains true that it is unfair to review the quality of a school’s program based on a single bad experience that this person had due to her not noticing those many clearly posted large signs around the playground areas. The Clara Barton center for children has excellent, loving staff who care deeply for children’s safety and learning. Our family has had a wonderful experience there. It has been only after years of people in the area not picking up after their dogs that the I understand the rule about dogs had to be put in place a few months ago, to keep daycare children from regularly encountering dog waste in the sandbox etc. Many of the teachers at the center have been there for many years - a testament to the good leadership and quality of the program. I hope the person who posted the one star review unfairly will rethink her desire to publicly damage the reputation of an outstanding educational program that is beloved by hundreds of families in the area."
