"Primrose is truly a fantastic educational experience and loving environment for our child. Our infant started at the school recently and every staff member there knows his name and says sweet things to him at drop off and pick up. If and when I call to check on something, the staff know about his day before even formally checking in with the teachers in his room. The teachers in his room are AMAZING. They are true professionals and they seem to be consistent which is hard to say about many other centers these days. The teachers document his day in an easy to use app, send lots of pictures, and give him so many enriching opportunities such as art on a daily basis. They follow my routine but adjust as needed and had him sleeping through the night when he turned 2 months old. When looking at centers in the area we were slightly concerned about the cost, but we are getting what we are paying for! The center seems to be open many days others are closed for such as MLK and they don’t follow AACPS closures so they didn’t close for rain recently which is very considerate for working families. As an educator for over a decade and a mom of two, I trust Primrose with my son and hope to move my other son over as soon as an opening becomes available."
"I tried to call this daycare to find out the pricing for the reference. After 4 attempts somebody finally pick up the phone, talked to me very short and then said that somebody will call me. Three days after - nobody called. I feel like communication will be a big issue if we will ever enroll there because who has time to call so many times?"
"We had to enroll our daughter sight unseen from another state, many years ago, and never regretted it. She was at Primrose of Gambrills from diapers all the way up until right before kindergarten a few weeks ago. She came from a Montessori school so I was a bit worried about the learning structure and philosophy, however much to my surprise I think my daughter ended up learning faster and better. They have this “wonder time” that really gets the kids thinking and interested about the world around them which is super cute. Lots of love from all of the the teachers she’s had. The only reason we left was something opened up for us to join a k-8 school. Would have stayed if they offered elementary school. My daughter also co-signs a five star review. Thank you Primrose- we’ll be back for Summer!!"
"Today holds so many emotions for me as we both celebrate and close a major chapter in our family's journey - saying goodbye to the Primrose School of Gambrills. Although many have moved on (we miss them!), so many good teachers and staff still remain. They have been a true partner in these first eight years of teaching and raising our kids. From the very first day to this last day, they have provided us a peace of mind all parents need from their care giver, and have filled our hearts with love and joy as they tirelessly encouraged, mentored, supported, laughed with, celebrated with, cried with, and taught us. Thank you, Primrose, for being such an important part of our journey and story! We will miss you! For the curious minds: We gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there were some bumps in the road along the way, there are some things we wish the leadership team was more transparent about, and (being "get to yes" type people) there were times when we felt more might have been possible. Bottom line, there is always room for improvement."
"My child's experience here in Pre-K was, without a doubt, leaps and bounds ahead of our oldest child's experience at the local Childcare Development Center. This Primrose hires teachers that invest themselves in the children, teaching them everything from basic math and reading concepts to manners and social skills. The Pre-K program's structured environment has already paid dividends this school year, as my son now fully grasps all of the concepts being taught in Kindergarten. Where Primrose really shines though is helping the children in each classroom to connect with one another. I will never forget my son's last day. When I arrived to pick him up, all of the other children got up, unprompted by the teacher, gave him a big hug, and told them how much they loved him and would miss him. Some other useful information: Primrose is great for military, as it is honored by most military childcare assistance programs. I can't say enough about this particular Primrose location or it's staff."
