"Great community school. Diverse with a small setting that focuses on the children. We love no screen time and the loving staff."
"Great school. Only accredited Montessori School in the Howard County. The great thing about the school is, the parents run the school. The teachers are amazing. My child was in another Montessori School ( advertised as ) which was not a real Montessori School and kids where not treated well there. I researched and was able to find this accredited Montessori School and my child is super happy here. She is having so much fun with her class mates and the teachers."
"Bryant Woods Montessori is a very authentic Montessori school, a single mixed-age classroom, certified AMS rather than "Montessori-inspired," long history founded in 1969, for almost as long as the city of Columbia has been around. It's not for everyone - if you're looking for a school that prioritizes parent convenience, this may not be for you. The school is run by a non-profit board with majority parent board members, and although not as strict as a co-op, parents are expected to volunteer for a certain number of hours each school year to help out. The teachers are warm without being coddling. Our sons are socializing much better than they were at their previous school and also improved at independent play. They've made good friends at the school, but we adults have also made friends with many of the parents through helping support some of the school operations and organizing events. Compared to our previous school where parents were never allowed inside the classroom and had very limited visibility, the opportunity to observe our kids doing the Montessori work first-hand and interacting with other students is a really rewarding and unique experience. Definitely worth checking out the school to see if it's a good fit for your family!"
