"I can’t wait to go back! There are not a lot of great restaurants in Winchester yet. Le Bar American hit the spot with French comfort food. On top of that, the staff helped us select the perfect drinks to match. The wait and bar staff were so nice that I wanted them to sit down to join us for supper. Triple threat!! Great food, great drinks, and great service!"

"We stopped by after this came highly recommended by the sweetest bartender at Willies Saloon. However this was honestly and truthfully, the worst meal we have ever had. We were the first diners of the night at 4:38pm. I am hoping that this was just an ‘off night’ but will not be back to find out. Steaks came out looking like bricks of charcoal though when you cut into it, the steak was almost blue rare after we had both ordered medium. The Escargot came out in a literal vat of butter you had to keep ‘fishing’ to find the escargot - none of the food was as advertised. For a $175 meal, this was by far the worst food we have ever had. So bad that after we left, we could not contain our laughter and mutual shock of the meal we shared. Server was sweet but the atmosphere was horrible. You could hear the music blasting in the kitchen and people talking loudly back and forth (we were in the very front of the restaurant) over the music they were playing loudly in the front of house. The fries, $7 water and liquor were the only things we enjoyed."

"Great meal. Steak (prime New York Strip) was good, but the frites were some of the best I’ve had and the blue cheese sauce and mathurini sauce were both incredible. Creme brûlée was fantastic as well. They ran out of some dishes we saw online and wanted to try, but I believe that means the dishes are fresh, not frozen, and determined by demand. This place felt like a legitimate French bistro in Virginia. Would come back to try the mussels and sweetbreads!"

"Exceeded expectations. The food was outstanding, from the escargot, beef tartar and fromage plate as starters to the steaks and leek pie for dinner it was all excellent. The service was the icing on the cake. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful she made the evening perfect. We'll be back for sure."

"Was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the food. We came here in the middle of the day on Sunday and it was perfect. Great staff, recommended good wine. The warm bread with honey butter was so heavenly, ohhhhhh! Great French dishes, cooked to perfection, lovely flavors, good quality meat and fresh greens. Loved it! So worth the stop!"
