"From when I arrived at the front entrance, with help from the security to the front desk employees, to the greeters directing me to ortho I felt the love and energy for their work enviroment. The all showed respect and the place was very clean every person walked around with smiles. It was like family how people walking around speaking. Service was excellent. Only issue is Transport workers through the hospital."
"Arrived at the hospital 10pm (01/28/24) with cold , migraine and breathing complications , was turning purple before the arrival & choking in my sleep. Upon arrival it was not that busy i was the only person sitting in the section i sat at. I’ve explained this to the lady at the desk then Sat in the ER waiting room until 3AM before even being seen for the first time. I had to go to the desk 3 times an let them know i need a doctor i can barely breathe , still waited 5 hours for help to even be spoke to by someone other then the front desk. All that was provided was some pain medicine which ive had prior to arrival ive had medicine stronger than what was provided at home, Which i told them. They put me in a room with a dude who was also complaining they only provided him some weak pain medication he’s already had access too.. Seems to be more routine then actual concern & a individual evaluation. They took until 6AM to even provide that to me , 8 hours in the hospital for some pain medicine and a covid test u can get from ur local drugstore without a perscription what a joke. I’ve explained all this to them they don’t listen to ur concerns they are very dismissive. For an EMERGENCY room, i pray they do better people are here for emergencies! You wasted 8 hours of my time without listening to anything they were told evidently, only providing me with the one of 3 things i came in for & what u provided ive had at home."
"Horrible hospital. If I could give a zero star, I would. My mother spent over a month at this hospital and she had a raging blood infection which the doctors knew about and did not treat. Even when I specifically told the doctors I suspected she had an infection, they lied to me and told me her blood cultures were negative. For the most part when my mother was there, her condition persistently worsened and we demanded transfer out to another hospital and they would not. Due to them not treating her infection, her kidneys started to fail and her heart took a hit and they dropped her blood pressure to dangerous levels and gave her a stroke. They discharged my mother to rehab when she was not medically stable and of course she bounced back to another hospital within days and is currently in the ICU requiring blood pressure support. The doctors there are the ones who told us that she had sepsis (blood infection) at Sinai which is now affecting other organs and they are baffled as to why sinai didn’t treat it. The doctors are incompetent, the nurses rude, floor of the room never cleaned and room constantly smelled of trash. I was the one prompting doctors to look for source of infection and when the test came back positive, they lied to me and said it was negative . I can go on and on but I will have to write a book. I would not even send my worst enemy to this hospital."
"WARNING! THIS REVIEW WILL POSSIBLY SAVE YOU $$ The staff at this hospital are scammers, per their policy. I arrived to the hospital to have a minor injury treated. I asked to be directed to their urgent care facility. A worker came out and said that urgent care was in the emergency room, and offered to take me there. I asked the women in the waiting room who took my insurance, they also confirmed that I was in urgent care. What was I billed for? An emergency room visit. When I spoke to someone over the phone, she informed me that "the names are tricky" and that there is a unit in the ER that is called urgent care but is actually a part of the ER and that it is basically HOSPITAL POLICY to not inform the patient about the difference (obviously with hopes that you will be tricked and pay 5x the care price for the ER.) so a $60 visit turned into a $350 visit. To make things worse, the place is absolutely filthy and the staff are rude. When I expressed my frustration with the woman about being led to the ER when I requested to be shown where urgent care was, she said "well you still have to pay" and hung up on me before I could respond. I mean- are you serious? It's truly evil to prey on people like this. DO NOT COME HERE!!!"
"My care while at Sinai was just wonderful. I can’t say enough about how everyone involved listened to what I said and really made the effort to make sure my needs were met. This is the first surgery I’ve had with no vomiting. Pain was well managed without opioids which was great. Anesthesiologists did a great job of listening to my concerns. The result was a my first surgery where I didn’t throw up. A particular shout out to my day shift nurse Troy, my OT Natalie and my PT Kristin. Again, I got truly top notch care."
