I saw Tiffany for the first time yesterday with an absurd list of what I wanted: pix of hair from actresses 40 years younger and different from my hair type, firm announcement that I am awful with hair, etc. She was patient, kind, skillful, kept checking in with me and most important, gave me a cut and styling that far surpassed what I deserved with mixed messaging. "I've been seeing Crystal at House of Clarity for about 1.5 years now and I have to say it's the best experience I've had in the city. I've been to many stylists and salons in Philly and not one could figure out how to cut and color my hair for ideal grow out. "I was recommended by two friends who go to House of Clarity and get their hair done by Keri. I have a very long hair history of bleaching my hair, which has unfortunately lead it to completely break off, leaving me with an AWFUL chemical cut. I was previously going to a different stylist, and after so much damage I left my hair alone for about 6 months before seeing Keri for the first time the other day. When I walked in, Keri asked what I wanted and I honestly didn’t even know what to tell her. My only thoughts were that I absolutely HATED my hair, and I didn’t know what to do. I was dealing with basically a mullet, the front being extremely short and broken and the back being way too long. Keri took the time to really go over my options with me. She listened to me, and didn’t try and pressure me to do anything I didn’t want. When I went in, I did not have high expectations for how my hair would turn out because of how awful it already was. By the time Keri was done I was actually shedding tears of joy. She probably thought that I was nuts but she did the most AMAZING job, and made my hair look 100x better. She provided me with honest advice, gave me a ton of tips, and I felt that was she was genuinely really trying to help me. The only thing she didn’t do was make my hair physically grow, which of course is impossible. My experience at House of Clarity, and with Keri especially was nothing but fantastic.
