"Thor loves his visits to see his "friends" Dr. Armentrout and staff have all been welcoming of my fur clan since day 1. Dr. Armentrout has taken the time to get to know thor and give him the appropriate treatment plan to make his appointments as fear free as possible."
"I Love Dr. Armentrout and her staff. I highly recommend this practice. They gave me an appointment and called me 2 times to get us in sooner. Dr. Armentrout spent more time discussing options than a PCP for people. AND it's the best exam Marley has had in 2 years. We were given 3 options of how to proceed to treat my boy. With her expertise we moved forward with treatment . I already see a marked difference in his health for the better. Never will ever go anywhere else. Thanks to all of you for caring and treating Marley like he was family."
"I highly recommend this business. My dog is actually happy to come here! She loves the staff and they give the best care. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. They will follow up to make sure you and your pet are doing okay the next day. The best veterinarian carein the area!"
"After taking my dog to VCA multiple times over a period of months for a list of symptoms that primarily consisted of nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, the one and ONLY diagnosis he was given was that he had “chronic GI issues.” (The only tests performed were bloodwork and a stool sample.) I was told that his flare ups were due to him switching dry food for a week b/c his regular food had not been delivered to our house on time. On Monday I had a follow up appointment. I told the vet that my dog’s symptoms were worsening and more were added to the list, so much so that I wrote it all down so I would be sure not to forget anything. I questioned whether something more serious (a possible blockage or partial blockage) could be going on and I was brushed off and AGAIN told it was food related and sent home with anti-nausea meds. The next day my dog started violently vomiting large quantities all over the house. He had no control over it and could not stop. I called the office and was told to go take him somewhere that offered ultrasound. It took me hours to find a place that was willing to fit him in as an emergency appointment. They immediately did bloodwork and took X-rays. The bloodwork showed that my dog’s white blood cell count was through the roof. Then the vet showed me the X-rays and told me that he had a large area in his abdomen that looked to her like a mass or possible tumor. (Even though the vet at VCA said that he specifically needed an ultrasound and that X-rays wouldn’t show anything.) He was put on IV fluids right away because of severe dehydration. They conducted more X-rays in which the vet concluded that an exploratory surgery needed to be performed the next morning. I was called the next day with the news that my dog had A SQUEAKER TOY IN HIS INTESTINE. My husband and I knew as soon as they said squeaker that this was the squeaker that had gone missing MONTHS prior that we were concerned about. My 4yr old healthy dog would have died if I hadn’t immediately gotten him seen for a second opinion. I hope this review serves as a caution for other animal owners."
