"Title: A Culinary Jewel in an Unexpected Spot Tucked away in a neighborhood that might give you pause, there's a Mexican restaurant that shines bright with authenticity and warmth. Family-operated, with the husband and son team crafting dishes in the kitchen, it feels like stepping into a home where every meal is made with love. The decor, rich with traditional Mexican touches, sets a cozy scene for a dining experience that's as genuine as it gets. It's not just the environment that wins you over; the food, especially the off-menu items , is a revelation. Fresh, flavorful, and made with care, it’s a taste of Mexico that’s hard to come by. Despite the select hours and the humble location, this place is a testament to the idea that the best experiences often come from the most unexpected places. It's definitely worth the detour, even a thousand times over, to discover this gem that proves great food and heartfelt hospitality can transform any setting into a destination worth seeking out."
"A must go in Philadelphia. Authentic and beautifully crafted food plates that will take you to Mexico for a moment. The ambience is amazing, especially during the warms seasons where you can enjoy the large outdoor seating areas. The location is not the greatest, given it’s in the middle of zombie land, but trust me that it is worth the trip there. I keep coming back because they keep innovating their menu."
"I have to be honest, the restaurant is not in the best location but I understand wanting a neighborhood like Kensington to have a nice place to eat and have a good time. Getting that out the way, the food was AMAZING and the drinks were even better. We started with mango Margheritas and a passiofruit frozen Margherita. Both delicious but I liked the passion fruit one more. We also had the guacamole which was some of the best I've ever had. For our entree we got the 24" quesadilla with beef and chicken and I got the shrimp dish. I can't remember the name of it with but I also got a side of plaintains and elotes. All the food was so good. I can't wait to go back and try more. We got the churros and cannoli to go. Very good. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes."
"we got takeout, so my experience may be different than others. the guac was good, however the meats were overcooked and dried out. the carnitas and steak were very tough. the sopa(soup) was very watery, almost like a tomato paste just mixed with water."
