Reviews
"Alyssa did the most fantastic haircut will be telling others super service. Great job."
"Went to the salon to get my daughter's hair cut for school today. The stylist was great, very friendly and She was awesome with my daughter. However, the 1 star review is for who I believe was the manager that "helped" my stylist while I was paying. Upon tapping my bank card, it didn't go through. No problem, the stylist asked me to insert it instead. I did that, still didn't work. Who I think was possibly the Manager, comes over to help her and asks that I reinsert my card. I do this and it still doesn't go through. I explained that this is my bank card and should be fine. Instead of saying, oh I'm sorry, I don't know why it's not going through. She asks do you have another card or cash? I said I don't understand maybe your machine isn't working because my account is fine. She then replies "are you sure you have enough funds in your account?" I ensured her that there was quite enough in my account and how dare you accuse me of not having money!!! First of all that's so embarrassing, and secondly, it IS possible that YOUR machine isn't working. I've worked in retail and healthcare my entire life so far and there's and right and wrong way to approach these things. There's many times the credit card machine just wasn't working properly. It happens..I just can't imagine saying that to someone... It's not right. I will not be going back. My daughter's hair looks great but I will never be embarrassed and disrespected like that again."
"8/6/23- Worst hair cut ever! I went to the JCPenney Salon (stylist Jamie). I went to donate 10 to 12 inches. She said is touching your shoulders a good length? I said yes that would be fine. My hair is neck length not shoulder length. When I got home and messaged the ponytails that she cut, they are 15 inches long."
"I came in to get a pretty simple trim and a half up half down bun, instead I left with braids and extremely uneven hair. The girl that helped us barely spoke English, her accent was very heavy and she didn't seem to understand us either. She'd repeat the same thing 5 times and then still come up with the wrong answer, to which I had to explain to her again what I wanted. She didn't have much care for my hair, and left it INCREDIBLY uneven from strand to strand, and outright shorter on one side. It was close to what I wanted, but she spent nearly half an hour trying to do the braids, which were, again, absolutely uneven. She dropped several hairbrushes and items, causing her to have to restart with a new item or hairbrush. Even when the other salon employees tried to help or cast pitying glances, she didn't care. I would NOT recommend going hear for more than split end trims."
"I was not going to write a review because the manager was kind enough to partially fix the mistakes that were done to my hair. But my hair is still has a lot of healing to do. She had to give me a second hair cut because she said that they still looked fried. A piece on the back of my hair was so bad that she had to cut it short but in reality the damage is up to the root on that piece of hair. The color was so brassy that my hair looked orange in the sun and it was uneven and the highlights were just not right. She did a great job trying to fix my hair and that is the reason I gave the Jcpenny salon a 2 star review. But for the damage that was done to my hair she could have at least refunded 50% back. Yes the color is an easy fix but the damage is not. My hair will take quite sometime to grow to the length that it was. I had never cried for my hair before but I felt so frustrated that I could not contain myself. I know that color was easy to fix but the damage to my hair is still there and it will take months to have my healthy hair back. Just be careful who you get your hair done by, I supposedly got a pro stylist. I’m not a stylist but I know exactly what went wrong when she was doing my hair. I probably would have done a better job at my house using box dye. This service is definitely not worth $255 dollars. I am utterly frustrated and I wish I would have never gone there."
