"Carissa K. does a fantastic job with my boys! One has very straight hair and the other very curly hair, and she’s great with both of their hair types, and has even made suggestions on how to best cut their loose shaggy styles. Both very young toddlers, one very shy, and they both sit for her. The little cars they sit in and the TVs are a huge hit with the boys. We love coming for cuts"

"First time ever going to Sharkey’s to get my son’s first hair cut. We booked Carrisa and I was super nervous. She was so good at getting my son’s attention and keeping him calm. She asked what is his favorite show and we said Blippi. She put Blippi on and gave him a balloon to play with in the monster truck he was sitting in. He moves around a lot and doesn’t like when people touch his hair, but she did great with him. 20 minute appointment and it was fantastic. His hair cut came out so nice and he did great even danced a little to the music. I recommend taking your child here for first hair cut or any hair cut at that. Definitely coming back. The shop is very nice and kid friendly inside and they have little toys and products they sale as well."

"Took my son a few months ago for a haircut with Amy. She was phenomenal! I decided to go back this weekend with my sister (an adult with physical and developmental disabilities) and son. Amy wasn't there, so Vanessa helped us instead. She was the most patient and incredibly kind person! She was hands-on with my helping sister and made sure she was comfortable, and was able to adjust her styling as needed. My sister's hair looks great and she is so happy. This is the only place I've felt comfortable taking her and we'll definitely be back."

"This is the best place to take your child for their haircut, especially their first! Carissa was so patient with my two year old son for his first cut. She let him sit in all the fun chairs, play the paw patrol game, put on his shows, did everything to make him comfortable and distract him. It was no easy task! She is amazing! AND his hair looks SO GOOD and so cute!! We will definitely be back. Also, the owners are the sweetest, nicest people! Great local business that we’re lucky to have in town!"

"Sharkey’s was an absolutely incredible experience for my child’s first hair cut. He has been growing out his hair since the pandemic and he chose to change it up. His inspiration: Luke Skywalker and boy did Carissa pull off the cut perfectly for him! Carissa was so kind, patient, and absolutely wonderful with my son. The salon itself has so many amenities to keep your children entertained and happy during their salon experience. I can keep going on about how amazing they are but you should check it out for yourself!"
