"I loved to Maryland in 2021. One of my biggest worries about moving from where I lived was, who am I going to find that cut my hair as well as the last person who cut my hair, which took me forever to find. Within that same year of living here we had made friends and one of those friends connected me with Gregg when I expressed my anxieties over finding someone to cut my hair. What’s great about this, is Gregg and I hit it off right away. He was able to not only get a full feel for how my hair works/grows, but he also pointed out stuff to me that others haven’t, and was able to work within the oddities of my hair. The way he sculpts and shapes my hair is bar none the best haircuts I’ve ever had, he’s given me the same haircut which I’ve loved when I ask for it, where as I’ve had others never able to quite recapture the perfect cut, save for the person who used to do my hair in London, Ontario. He listens and styles me when I want it, other times I let him canvas my hair. He will tell me what will work if the style I ask for could work, will work and even if it won’t work and I trust his judgement completely. When he freestyles I never leave disappointed or worried about my hair. I’m always thrilled with it, each and every damn time. He is personable, warm and kind, his music and conversation is always on point. I am by no means not a picky person, and a little neurodivergent, and particular when it comes to my hair. When I say it’s perfect every time, I’m not using that word frivolously. Gregg is phenomenal, and worth the travel from Annapolis to Bethesda!!! It’s not every day you meet someone else who is fully aware of Milla Jovovich’s music career and also owns the divine comedy album. 10s across the board, Google doesn’t have a rating high enough! And as per my pics, you’ll even seen when I have absolute messy bed head, I’m still super happy with how it looks!"

After discussing what style or color you would like, Gregg mixes his own colors together from scratch in the studio. He does beautiful highlights and my daughter loved her edgy purple tint. "This was my first hair cut since January 2020 (thanks Corona!). I had heard good things about Gregg so decided to check him out. I walked in with thin, curly, frizzy hair with about 4-5" just dead gross on the ends, told him I had a "hate-hate" relationship with my hair and didn't care what he did to it. Basically, a nightmare. He looked at my hair, my face shape, asked me questions about my lifestyle (did it need to make a pony tail, do I wear it around my face or tucked back, what my hair care routine was ...). He even googled the one product I use when I couldn't remember the name very well! Then, he got to work. My hair is actually cute! the gross parts are gone, and it's not frizzing out! He gave me tips that fit into my routine already to keep it from frizzing and feedback on the product I use, and one he thought would work better if I wanted to switch it out. Anyway, I'm very pleased and feel like he went above and beyond considering I literally gave him no direction. COVID info: he's in a room in a larger salon, near the entrance. You wait in your car until your appointment is ready, fill out a COVID questionnaire, wear masks, and no one else is around. It felt very safe."

He clearly explains how what I want conflicts with my hair’s health and finds ways to get great results without doing damage. In Covid times, he keeps the salon clean, sanitizes surfaces and tools between clients, and ensures that people feel safe. The online booking platform is awesome for people who hate using the phone."
