"The overall color looks good. That is why 2 stars instead of 1. I am disappointed in the highlights. Hardly any, the ones that I can see are underneath and don't show and most importantly we discussed that I was keeping a lock of hair untouched because it is gray and I am was deliberately growing it out. It was colored with the highlight toner which might be okay when the gray comes in more but there is a stripe of brown dye at the roots that is just weird and going to make the gray roots really stand out. I had been growing out that lock for months and now I have to start over. I am very disappointed."
"Went for highlights to add blond to my mouse-y color and left darker than I went in. Photos I brought and discussion of color didn’t help. The technique was good but the final color was not what I asked for. Really disappointed and not sure I should trust them to correct this mistake."
"I used to be a loyal customer but the quality of this location has dropped dramatically in the past several months. This past summer my hair was dyed orange. I thought I was imagining something, but 2 different friends asked me if I dyed my hair red. I had previously had great experiences here, so I gave them another chance. When I went in September, I had a much better outcome. Which brings me to today. I really love the forced relaxation of getting my hair done, so I booked this appointment for my birthday weekend. I arrived at my appointment at 345. Someone came up to me and gave me an apron. I put it on. And waited. And waited. I was sitting there next to someone waiting for her color to set. At some point she looked at me and said "are you still waiting to get color on your hair? Where are they? Seems like they're all on break together at the same time" I understand waiting when the place is really busy, but this was bizarre. 3 clients were in the room and 0 employees. I heard a bunch of laughing from the back room. 2 other costumers walked in and looked for staff and then just left. One employee walked back in and helped someone with retail. I told her I'd been waiting and was in a bit of a hurry as I have a baby and a babysitter. Then she walked to the back, and I heard more laughing. After waiting a few more minutes, I went back myself. They all seemed to be just hanging out. One colorist told me she'd be out in a minute to help me, but was on break. (As someone in a profession that often doesn't get many breaks and must serve my customers the minute they walk in the door (teacher), it's hard to reconcile this.) This felt more like the DMV than a salon. Finally, I decided I didn't want to spend another 2 hours in there on my birthday weekend for something that wasn't vital. I walked out.As I walked out, I heard her mimicking me about having a baby."
"The colorists are great and hard working. The color is quite good...I get a single color, no highlights, etc. The sinks are awful and so is the shampoo and conditioner. After they wash my hair, I can barely get a comb through it and my hair is short and straight. I got one of their memberships, so root touch ups are very affordable. Overall, happy with this place and my membership."
"I want to start by saying everyone here was so nice and friendly and I did see a lot of happy customers leaving. I was really upset with my hair results though. I got a balayage and a blowout. My color was really patchy and not blended and had a lot of harsh lines. After the blow-out I still had crusty conditioner in my hair on the sides. They did offer to fix the balayage by dying my roots, but it would be an additional $70. Dying my roots wasn’t something I wanted when I made the appointment or something that I should’ve needed. I think this place is great if you need dark root touch ups but not blonde color done. I wanted to try a new place. Now I’m going to my usual stylist to see if she can fix this before Valentine’s Day, and it’s going to end up costing double what it should have. Leaving the Salon you should feel good and pretty but I wanted to cry and immediately had to figure out how to fix it. I don’t want to go back here."
