Mariette African Hair Braiding

"Well. I came here last week and got my hair braided, but it wasn’t tight enough and instead of the braids lasting 4-8 weeks, only after the first night and the braids started falling apart. The rubber bands have come of one or two at a time which makes my braids come apart. I liked the pricing, but I did have my hair braided years ago by a 14 year old girl who did a great job even while using extensions and she only charged me $10, but these are different times. I’m afraid that after less than a week, I’ll have to just finish taking out the braids as they keep coming apart."

"The work done is not worth the price, hair quality they provide is trash, I ask for curly ends and ot was horrible done iv been waiting to finsh its 4:20pm I started at 10am. Never again so unhappy with their services and how my hair came out"

"If your tender headed avoid this place. It was short notice and they did provide me with the service but I will not be going back. They charged $100 for a rebraid and wash. Which is cheap yes but the lady that started was incredibly too rough. Was there for about an hour before I even got seen while there were 2 different hair dressers “helping” 2 other customers that already had dressers working on them. Was told I’d get seen at 2:30 and they didn’t even start til about 4:00-4:15. Had me ready to walk out multiple times just combing out my hair. Then she proceeded to soak the back of my shirt. The roughest and most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had. Started to braid then walked away I was left unattended for 30 minutes before someone else took over. The 2nd lady was a little better but still too rough. I repeat if you’re tender headed like I am avoid this place. The only reason I paid was because I was raised to pay for the services you receive. I’m beyond frustrated and annoyed. If I could give them a zero star I would."

"I called to schedule a braid appointment, I was quoted $200 for micro braids, I told them that was too much and she asked me how much do I usually pay. I told her $180. She said OK will do it for that price. Once I arrived I had to wait a bit for someone to show up. I didn’t really look thoroughly at the braids until I got home and that’s when I realized what a mess it really was. The braids are all different sizes, the knots made The rest of the hair tangle, but I was on my way to a vacation trip the same day. These photos are exactly one week and a day after initial style. Micro’s usually last anywhere between 1 to 3 months depending on hair and style…Even though these are twice the size of micro braids. I should have read the reviews before coming because They all are similar to what I’m experiencing. I’m not even mentioning all the other small things that many of the other issues reviewer’s have in common. This is a lesson learned!!!!!!! Never again!!!! When I came to complain the young lady wouldn’t even give me her name.."
