"I’m so disappointed in my recent experience with this salon. I had an appointment scheduled but had to cancel at the last minute because my toddler and I were both sick. I called and left a voicemail when I woke up before they were opened, and then called back at 9:15am, shortly after they opened, to make sure the message was received. (Side note: I felt terrible and was very apologetic in my message and said that I would make it up to my stylist, Kaitlyn, when I reschedule, meaning I planned on giving her a big holiday/apology tip). I was told that per salon policy, I would be charged for 50% of the service for canceling within 24 hours. I reluctantly said I would keep the appointment rather than get charged but was told they had already filled my spot. I asked them to make an exception considering my stylist did not lose business and I was willing to come in but was told no. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak with and was told the manager wasn’t in but would call me back when they reopen on Wednesday after the holidays, which (unsurprisingly, after the way they spoke to me) never happened. I’m so disappointed because I feel they were unwilling to discuss or work with me, in any way. I also felt that I had finally found a regular stylist after living in Frederick for 3 years, but will not be going back. It’s such a bummer."

"I am a new client with New York New York salon and I just finished up my first appointment and absolutely needed to share my experience. First off, I have been getting my hair colored in salons for years, and have been all over the East coast anywhere from New York to Philadelphia, Atlanta, and now Maryland. I always do some intense research before coming to a new stylist, and I found Amanda by looking at her Instagram after I saw the salon’s website. She did an absolutely amazing job on my hair, everyone in the salon was super friendly, the atmosphere was great, etc. This is definitely a higher end place in my opinion so if you are looking for a cheap service you won’t find it here, but I feel like it is $$$ well spent and you pay for the elevated experience , the final product is absolutely amazing!"

He has always ensured my son is completely happy with his hair before he gets out of the chair. I decided to book an appointment with Ryan this year and I’m so happy I did - he didn’t disappoint. He listens to what I want and ensures I’m happy with it. He’s amazingly talented with color and style. He’s very easy to talk to. The salon itself is very luxurious. I love it!"
