"Great hike. A bit hard to start up hill but worth it. The falls were pretty but nothing to write home about. But beautiful hike."
"$3.00 per person admission fee to the park they do accept cards and cash. This is a beautiful part of Patapsco State Park. Its a short walk from the swinging bridge to the falls. Those who want a longer more challenging hike I recommend starting from the 1101 Hilton Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228 entrance and walking the full trail to the swinging bridge and across to the falls."
"I'd say if you hike regularly this trail is probably easy to mod but if you are a novice I'd say mod. The beginning and end were a bit challenging but the middle was easier. Some of the markings were confusing and we got lost for a bit trying to do the blue circle path but figured it out. Not much service but maps did work thank goodness. Tons of shade much appreciated."
"Disclaimer: I have to the cascade falls once, but won't be the last. I did the fall loop and some more with my kids who had a great time. It is full of sights and smaller falls. I found many spots to connect with nature, as other noises get suppressed near those smaller falls, and yet the senses looking out for a safety factor are are not overwhelmed."
"This part of the Patapsco Valley Park system is phenomenal! I really loved it. There are so many trails to take, but the most amazing trail is the one that leads to the cascading waterfalls. As you take the cascading trail, you will see and pass several waterfalls and babbling brooks. I kid you not, this park has mossy logs, large trees, winding trails, and hills. Most of the trails are consider easy although as you get to higher elevations the path can get narrow and for me, a little scary. I took a walking stick with me to help cross the many streams we encountered. Its helpful to use a walking stick to help balance on the stream rocks as you cross the streams. There is a point on the trail where you approach the major waterfall and in order to keep going on the trail you'll have to navigate through the large boulders close to the falls. Everyone I saw made it through the boulders. This park looks untouched by human hands and it looks very natural. You won't be bored. I plan to make my third visit there soon. If you take your dog, he/she must be on a leash and please be ready to transport out any poop that happens. Wear hiking boots since you'll be crossing multiple streams."
