"This was our favorite place in DC while visiting. The drinks were really good, the food delicious, and the atmosphere really nice and laid back. Emilio was incredibly nice to us and we had a really great time. Thank you!"
"This was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in the DMV. I really wish that wasn’t the case but it is. I ordered the FC Chicken Doink after seeing pics on Instagram and it was a complete letdown. It was hard for me not to stare and laugh at how comically small my chicken was. The fried chicken thigh was overcooked and tough, with a rubber-like consistency. The biscuit-like pancakes did not complement the chicken either. I regret spending $15 on this meal; all together with my partner's meal it was closer to $75 (two meals and two drinks). Initially seeing the cook frantically running in and out of the restaurant should have been a warning sign to avoid this place altogether. Do yourself a favor and hop on over to the Mexican and Salvadorian place one store over and get yourself a pupusa. If you want to just drink a beer then consider Fight Club."
"Super laid back spot in EM with equally creative and delicious samwiches, accented with really friendly service. I started with their deviled eggs and wasn't disappointed. Super creamy, enjoyed every bite, and loved the very pickled carrot slaw it comes with. Dope. I couldn't decide between all the amazing samwiches on the menu so decided to do 50/50 and order two and have half of each. The strategy worked out, both my choices were bomb. The Torta Al Pastor was super solid, chunks of seasoned pork with avocado, refried beans, queso fresco, and pickled jalapeno on fresh ciabatta. Only disappoinment was the avocado was not very fresh. My other selection was the eponymous Fight Club: tender sliced club steak, roasted tomato, creamy brown butter mayo, generous amounts of bacon, fresh shredded lettuce, on plain but delicious lightly toasted white bread. Epic. Too full to try anything else but will definitely be back. Great lunch spot if you're nearby."
"We had the chicken sandwich, BLT and fruity pebbles ice cream sandwich. All the sandwiches had a unique thing about them that separates them from the rest. It the flavors paired good and was cooked great. I wish fries came with the sandwich. Owner gave us a free ice cream sandwich today for no reason at all! Everything is a 1990s/2000 vibe to the place and they even gave me my receipt in a blockbuster movie case."
"I had the Brecky Bekkie, a take on bagels and lox that blew my kind. It had the perfect balance of salty and pickled, paried with the creaminess of the salmon and avocado. Yum!! My husband got the Fight Club, a roast beef club that you'd expect to be exceptional since it has the name of the place, but it was just pretty regular. Plus, the meat was not butchered well, so he was picking hardened bits out of it the whole time. We also ordered the Smashed Irishman, which is basically a sweet Mint Julep. I loved it, even though I'm not normally a huge Julep fan. The service was good too, and we loved the cute, laid back atmosphere!"
