Reviews of The House
"Paid $40 per person to get in, $25 for coconut rum and pineapple juice and the strippers were completely unattractive. I was looking for one to throw money on and walked out of there will all my 1s in hand. First time that's ever hhappened. They had the JV squad in there last night."
"The AC was not blowing on the upstairs. $450 for bottle of Hennessy and a table! No vibe but played current music! Girls work hard. Nothing or no one stood out! Only name I remember is Miami....b/c she started with a private Dance wearing sparkle pasties and g-string and finished in her birthday suite... She made one of our ppl fall in love! (IN MY T-PAIN VOICE). Customer service was good. Definitely a mix of ppl and ages!"
"This is my last time at this club. We were told the cover was $40 ($20 each) and then we got there and the door person said $20 each, but some guy came out and said it was, actually, $40 each. We asked for a lap dance. The dancer said it was $20 and to get a stamp at the bar. The bar said it was $50. The dancer said, "No, $20 but you have to get a stamp." We left. We only spent 1/3 of the money we planned to. Had they not been hella shady they would have got their $50 and thensome."
"I have such mixed emotions about this place. The dancers are great, but it is a waste because the club is so mismanaged and is not suitable for professionals. It has been a DC staple that I have visited since I was in college and it was still called the Penthouse. The women are brown, beautiful, fit, and, over the years, the dancers have become increasingly female and couple friendly. However, it isn't the best choice for professionals, celebrities, politicians or public figures. They take pictures and videos of attendees and post them on their IG page without seeking customers' permission. My suggestion for this club is to have a private VIP area where you buy a bottle, don't have to pay a cover and pictures and videos are not allowed. The door policies are also BEYOND shady. The rarely advertise the cover charge because they make it up on the spot. If you talk to other people you will find out you were all charged different covers. Like the reviewer below said, it is not uncommon for them to hike up the cover on slow nights or right before they close. That only takes money out of the dancers' pockets and is the reason why this club always has 30 dudes sitting in the back not trying to tip. They should eliminate the cover, make better drinks and make their money by charging more for them. Bottomline is that this club is a hood spot gem that hasn't really grown as DC's black population has DEFINITELY grown."
"If you're into black women, this is where you should be at. I am still blown away at the service at this strip club. It's only a $20 cover charge with a two-drink minimum. They don't pressure you to tip the strippers. All of the women have amazing bodies. ALL of them. Literally my first time in a strip club where every single woman looks amazing. And I only saw one woman who had cosmetic surgery, but she looked really good. The rest of the women were all natural. No big fake booties with mismatch thighs. Just beautiful chocolate, caramel and toffee colored skin everywhere. One woman took the time to shake everyone's hands after her performance. The women genuinely seemed to be enjoying themselves, joking with one another and dancing on one another. I felt like we were lounging at their home. They're fully nude as well, and you can touch them. The club is in the middle of a yuppie side of town so you feel very safe. Lastly, think of every amazing hip hop song that's perfect for the strip club. That's all the DJ played, and he's super funny. It's like I found Atlantis. Unreal."
