She was super insightful, full of experience and was listening to what I needed/looked for! I felt so confidant in her abilities and vision/talent! The experience of having the extensions put in was SO easy, not at all nerve-wracking, she was so nice and painless! I had plenty of snacks/hydration (and even a yummy decaf latté) during the appointment! I am so SO in love with my hair; it’s the boost of confidence and joy I needed in my life right now! "I scheduled an appointment at Colour Bar after reading the amazing reviews, I just moved into the area and was looking for a place that does red coloring. I came to the salon with pictures of how I wanted my color, which were actual pictures of myself from my previous hair appointments with fresh color so they had an idea of how bright I wanted to go due to my roots being overgrown and my red being super faded. I felt like my colorist didn’t feel comfortable doing my color and instead of being transparent they pushed me towards more brown tones. After looking at her dye book for 20 minutes and I kept pointing to the brighter red tones I finally gave in and picked a shade of red/brown my colorist clearly felt more comfortable doing. My experience overall was nice, though the service took way longer than it usually would take at my old salon. I’m giving my experience two stars due to it being 2 weeks after my appointment and I’ve only washed my hair twice and my color has washed out tremendously. I noticed also while blow drying my hair the dye job did not take to my roots at all, its splotchy all over and you can still tell my roots are overgrown up close, especially my roots underneath. Overall, I paid too much for my color to turn out the way it did."
