"Atxondo is a fantastic spot for dinner with friends, especially if you're into tapas. The shrimp is a must-try, along with their selection of unique dishes perfect for sharing. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in the area. Despite it being busy on my Friday night visit, they managed to get us a table quickly, which was greatly appreciated."
"As far as Spanish tapas goes, this is a very middle of the road and unmemorable spot. Both the food and cocktails were pedestrian, and service while fine was equally unremarkable. We tried a charcuterie plate, kale salad, Spanish tortilla, grilled octopus, croquettes, meatballs, crispy potatoes and ribeye. Everything was sub par with the exception of the patatas bravas. Ribeye was particularly terrible, tough and poorly grilled. I would pass, much better options in DC for tapas."
"Absolutely loved the Paella, 4 person portion size, waiting was like 40 mins but so is for any good paella. It was worth the wait! Street parking available."
"Popped in for deserts only.. got the cheesecake and churros for $17 bucks take out. The cheesecake was great but it was the size of a bite size sample thus the star deduct. The churros were good but a tad greasy. Staff was cool."
"This restaurant was truly incredible. My partner and I went on a whim and are very glad we did. The food was delicious and came out super quick. Everything was cooked to perfection and the textures were especially amazing. Their chef truly knows how to get the perfect level of crisp. Also, you can't beat the prices. This restaurant probably has one of the best price to quality ratios I've ever seen. For what you get, you really can't beat the price! Even the drinks are strong and worth the money. Would highly recommend the scallops, pork belly, and mussels, but honestly everything was great!"
