"First time getting food was today and it was GOOD. I had the stew chicken dinner. The chicken was tender, which was the most important thing to me lol. So I’m happy."
"I am a huge fan of Jamaican food and recently had the pleasure of trying out Gettis Island Spice. Let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! I ordered the brown stew chicken and a curry chicken Patti, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The brown stew chicken was cooked to perfection, with tender meat that practically fell off the bone. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, with just the right amount of spices. It was accompanied by a generous serving of rice and peas, which added a nice texture to the dish. The curry chicken Patti was a pleasant surprise. The flaky pastry was filled with a flavorful and aromatic curry chicken filling. It had a slight kick to it, but not overpowering. It was the perfect handheld snack and I couldn't resist having a few more bites than I initially planned. Unfortunately, I was on my lunch break and couldn't dine inside the restaurant. However, the ambiance looked inviting and I spotted a cozy bar area where I would have loved to sit and enjoy my meal. Next time, I will definitely make it a point to dine in and soak in the atmosphere. I will definitely be going back for more. If you're a fan of Jamaican cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed!"
"I’ve continuously kept finding myself coming back here and now I see why. The seafood is some of the best seafood I’ve tasted in so long. While there is a wait, I always find it worth it when I take that first bite. Truly can’t begin to recommend this place more!!"
"They have several vegetarian options. I tired the vegetarian Callalo plate. It was pretty good but I wish it was spicy. Felt like there was no spice or barely any seasoning in it. Loved the atmosphere. There was reggae music playing. It was a whole vibe. You can sit inside by the bar, at a high table or outside."
