Celebration by Rupa Vira - Modern Indian Cuisine

"Foodie ALERT!!!... 5++ stars for Rupa and her crew. Luckily we were in the area to stop by and try out Celebration. And luckily it wasn't too busy so we were able to get a table without a reservation. The decor, crew, and food make this a top notch restaurant. We started with the Kale and Palak Chaat that was bursting with so many flavors. Our waiter gave us a couple of recommendations for entrees, the DUM KI SUNEHRI NALLI and Chicken Purana. Both were soooooooo good. Plus, some Garlic Naan and Cholle Masala. Celebration has made it to the top of our lists for restaurants in VA."

"One of the best Indian restaurants that we have been to in a very loooooooong time. Be it the staff's service and attention to every step through the service, be it the ambience, be it the presentation and the most important of all flavor of the food, we couldn't fault anything. It's bit on the pricey side but as its name, it's a celebration of food and worth the money spent. We ordered lotus stem chat & chicken Tikka kabab as appetizers. First time having lotus stem chat and definitely won't be the last time. Loved the balance of deep fried lotus stem slices, fresh fruits with the right amount of yogurt and chutneys. Chicken kabab was flavorful & juicy. We had butterfly pea margarita and masala chai and loved both. For our entree, we went with our server's recommendation of Chicken purana (purani delhi's preparation) and dal tadka and combined with garlic naan & tandoori roti & jeera rice. Unlike most Indian restaurants, rice is not complimentary with the entree here but again no complaints. We enjoyed our entree very much. Chicken curry did not have overdose of masala or creamy base which is usually the case in many restaurants and yet had great flavor. We ended our wonderful dinner with chocolate fusion lava cake which had jalebi in its base. Loved it. All in all we had a great time here and would definitely recommend it."

"Staff were very accommodating as we went near closing time. Loved their butternut squash kofta, which has sweet tinge to it, garlic naan and paneer pudina khaas. Tried achari paneer, malwani pulav, dabbawalla chicken and few other dishes which were fine. Overall very mild and flavorful dishes and I don't mind going back again."

"It's an upscale dining place. Lassi, Dahi puri and palak kale chat were too sweet for our taste. The entrees were flavorful. We ordered daal makhani (a.k.a daal rupa vira) and Kadhai paneer(off the menu item)"
