"The restaurant staff was friendly, and the food was good. We ordered the trio with jalea, arroz con mariscos and ceviche, and the portion was so large that we two people couldn’t finish it & took out most of the arroz con mariscos. The chica (purple corn juice) here was also pretty authentic. The only part that we didn’t like was that the jalea (fried seafood) was not crispy enough. Overall, it’s a nice Peruvian restaurant."
"If you're looking for a taste of Peruvian Cuisine, you'll find that at Pio Pio. The hostess welcomed us with a warm smile. We got seated fairly quickly, and the waitress was ready to take our order. We were not impressed with how the ordering process was handled. Felt rushed, straws for our drinks were just tossed at the center of the table, and customer service at the ordering level needs to improve. Time should be taken to explain by the waiting staff to explain the item on the menu. Felt like a fast food restaurant at that point. But this is my opinion. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think."
"Amazing first time experience! Heard great things about the restaurant so decided to try it out. We started out with the Peruvian wontons and the chicken ahí stuffing was delicious, especially with the accompanying sauce. The stuffed potatoes were also simply amazing. For the main entrees we got the Lomo Salteado, which was perfectly cooked and juicy steak with the most delicious sauce and the fried rice, which was unlike any other fried rice I've had before. Our server was super friendly, explained everything, and remained attentive the entire time. I also took some alfajores home and they were delicious! Can't say enough about this place, and definitely recommend it!"
""I recently dined at PioPio Peruvian Cuisine and ordered the Shrimp Rocoto appetizer, which had a good portion size and came with a delicious sauce. The shrimp were also of a good size. However, I was disappointed with the Bistek a Lo Pobre entrée. While the skirt steak was a decent size, it lacked flavor. Even a simple seasoning of salt and pepper would have greatly improved it. Additionally, the steak was placed over the French fries, causing them to become soggy instead of remaining crispy. The plantain banana served with it was plain and lacked flavor. For my second entrée, I ordered the Quinoa Salad. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend serving to others what I experienced. The salad contained rotten avocado, which was quite unappetizing. The portion of protein in the salad was also very small. I paid $56.18 for this meal, and while I have no issue paying this amount for good quality food, I was disappointed with the overall quality of the dishes. I hope the owner takes this feedback into consideration and pays more attention to detail in the kitchen. Rushing the preparation of dishes can result in lower quality. I wish the restaurant all the best, but I personally won't be returning.""
"Was my first experience today at this Peruvian restaurant. The restaurant has a very nice façade. You can sit outdoors or indoors. It is clean, nothing overly fancy and what really matters is they’re delicious food. I’ve been to several Peruvian restaurants before, but this tops now, my list. PioPio’s food is fresh, flavors explode in your mouth, and the service is just gracious and warm. I even love the music they were playing, which is Latin music, which sounded very fun. Great ambience to hang out with the family or if you want to go with your LO. I ordered a seafood plate, which had fish, garnished with shrimps, calamari, mussels, and clams and a delicious orange sauce. It also had some potatoes that look golden, delicious and served with white rice. I could not have ordered a burger dish. If you go there and you love seafood, this is a dish to have. My friends ordered Lomo Saltado, and the before so tender it for one of my friends, then I’m planning to order that next time I go. My other friend ordered a breaded chicken with rice and potato chips and salad. It looked fabulous! My other friend ordered something that looks like a mashed potato tower with chicken salad in the middle, and an orange sauce on top. It looks small, but it was mightily packed in flavor. The other lady friend ordered a chicken soup that had all the flavor in the world. She raved about it. For dessert, they offer flan, tres leches, chocoflan, lucuma pie, and some other delightful baked goods. Sadly, they did not have Tres leches so we went for the flan, which we shared. The beverages they have are fruit refreshments, and they also have regular sodas, my table ordered a passion, fruit refreshment, which they enjoyed it very much. Parking can be a little crazy, especially at lunchtime. They only have one handiicap spot, but you can also park in front of the restaurant on the other side of the road. It took me five minutes to find a spot, so it wasn’t a big deal. This restaurant is really a gem! The lady that took care of us, her name was Anna, and she’s there Monday through Friday, and she was lovely! If you are interested in having great Peruvian faire, this is the place to go. Bon appetite!"
