"Cannot speak to the rooms because we only went for dinner, but the food is very good. The menu is prix fixe and has a lot of choices. Try the souffle. Had the Wagu beef appetizer, and the lobster and crab meat entree. Thoroughly enjoyed both."
"I love the atmosphere, service, and food here!!! One of my favorite places. But my wife really did not like the chairs here. They made her very uncomfortable and she told me about it the whole dinner. I think the chairs could be upgraded so that the focus is on everything else that is so great"
"The food is good, the service is very good. But the chair really made me uncomfortable throughout the whole dinner. I’m 5’5” but when I sit on their chair my legs were always hanging. For this price you should really upgrade your chairs."
"The room is welcoming and really really beautiful. The service is very good but not five stars. For instance, they do not fold your napkin when you leave the table as other similarly priced restaurants. The food is just above average. The bread was yummy. The appetizer just okay. The salad was basic and plain. The entree was okay, but nothing memorable. The dessert was not that good, could not finish it because the sauce had such a strong citrus flavor, it was bitter. And the coffee was burned. I have definitely visited better French restaurants in the area. Spent over $400 for two people. Definitely, overpriced. Will not be back."
"To be honest, I think there are better French restaurants in the northern Virginia area. I believe the reason this place is so popular, not because of the food, even though I think the desserts and the complimentary bread were the best things on the prix fixe menu, but because it is located within one of the richest neighborhoods with beautiful scenery. The service was not bad, but it seemed forced, because every item on the menu is $100+, so it feels like the servers are forced to earn your business and tip. Now to the food. The presentation was not bad, but with the stingy portion on a big plate with lots of empty space, it does not sit well with the guest wondering why they are paying so much for so little food. Nothing special is going on with the flavors and the servers definitely were not doing anything fancy to wow you away. The whole dinner service took over 3.5 hours. We were the first customers in and one of the last the leave. For a $900+ meal, I really expected something fancier and more unique. Overall, pretty disappointed because this place receives lots of great review, but I question how accurate they are."
