"My car insurance premium doubled upon renewal. When I called to ask why, because I’ve had no issues(tickets, claims etc) I was told, “the quality of drivers has declined” so they have to make sure the have enough money to pay for all the other claims these poor drivers have. Mind you geico is a Berkshire Hathaway company which in 2022 generated 30.8 billion dollars in profits. Upon hearing this excuse as to why my premiums doubled, I shop around and find a new insurance company with better rates. I call to cancel my PAID IN FULL policy with geico a day before my policy expires. Fast forward a few weeks later, I received a bill from geico stating I have an outstanding balance on my cancelled policy of 26.xx dollars. I submit paperwork proving I have new insurance and had this policy in effect before I cancelled my policy with geico. Back and forth, back and forth. Fast forward to today, I get a letter of collections for the $26 bill. I call the collection company and talk to a representative and she tells me I have to submit supporting documents that I don’t owe this money. What does a policy that is paid in full mean? To me it means, PAID IN FULL. No other amount is owed because the account is, drum roll………PAID IN FULL!!!"
"This was the worst experience I had with car insurance. There is no respect to customers and when they decide to terminate the policy, it’s one sided decision without any respect or appreciating their customers. Certainly the worst company and I will never use or recommend to anyone."
"I switched to Geico during the pandemic, I had asked my old insurance co. To work with me and they just wouldn't. After switching over I couldn't be happier, now that things are going back to normal I increased my car insurance and soon will be adding homeowners insurance. They are always pleasant to deal with. Thanku geico"
"GEICO is absolutely awful! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. A few months back I was inquiring about a loyalty discount. The gentleman on the phone straight up lied to my face. He said, "It looks like, yes, you are due for a 5 year loyalty discount." He continued to tell me the date I would be eligible for it. It was a few days away. I asked him how much the discount would be. He said, "I can't relay that information, but call back on said date and it will be applied to your monthly payments." I said, "Great, thank you." So, I call back on that said date and ask them to apply the 5 year loyalty discount and the lady proceeds to say, "No such discount exists." I was beyond mad! How could you lie like that to a faithful customer! GEICO you are dirty and corrupt. After a recent traumatizing car accident, they have been extremely unreliable in my time of need. I have to hunt them down to get in contact with them. It's absurd. I can't get them to call me back. I have to constantly reach out in regards to my claim. The car was declared totaled and now I've been waiting days to hear back from the auto damage adjustor, Stephanie Gwinn regarding my payout for the total loss. It's been a nightmare all around. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of GEICO!"
