"Beautiful area with lots to do and to explore. I'd love to spend a day on my bike with my pro camera. Phone pics shall do for now."
"Not really much to do here but offers a lot of great opportunities to walk, sightsee, take pictures or even have a picnic. No real activities on site but a good Scenic spot for a family day. Lots of historical signs for not only the canal itself but of other events that happened in the same area. Offers plenty of places for bike riding and some places even allow you to do horseback riding."
"The Cushwa Basin in historic Williamsport along the C&O canal is a great place to relax, walk or ride your bike along the C&O canal, and has a boat launch into the Potomac river. We walked a few miles here with our dog learning about the history of the area and enjoying the naturalistic settings. The canal path is well take care of and graded better here than other sections like Dam 5. There are several spots to fish in the canal, creek or river banks. I have seen an abundance of wildlife around this section from hawks nesting, deer, turtles, groundhog and beaver. There is a large field with soccer goals near the boat launch and park with tables, trash cans and port a pottys for additional activities. If you're looking for a way to relax, exercise or enjoy the river this is worth a look."
