"Cant go wrong getting some exercise on the canal..a run, a walk, or a little bike riding. Enjoy the scenery."
"Very pretty I love the trails here especially because it’s near the water."
"It is very clean and peaceful place that I walk with a health group from my church. We enjoy walking on either sides of the canal. It is very diverse with people on the trail and everyone so far has been very courteous and respectful. It is dog friendly, I've seen dogs on and off of leashes walking peacefully with their owners. There are benches along the path to take a short rest if need be which is good for if you need a quick pit stop to gain your stamina again. Overall, I would recommend more people to take a walk and enjoy the scenery and many people you'll meet along the way."
"Really awesome lock with tons of history, nature, and trails. An abandoned large coal factory is within a short walk too."
"If you have a few minutes to spare and want to visit a lock and keepers house then this is the spot. You can park within approximately a hundred yards with a level walk to it. There is a porta poddy at the corner of the parking lot where the access gate area is. It was cleaner than most gas station facilities. As an added bonus Abner Doubleday hill, the old bridge, and Light's Ford are nearby and have easy parking. Fun quick stop."
