"Busy as usual when you use the drive through pharmacy but the lady was cordial and took care of us in a timely fashion."
"They do not fill scripts same day unless you call and request for them to. So many times I have left the doc or ER and waited hours for it to be filled only to call and find out their plan was to fill it the next day. They have a couple pharmacists and multiple techs. How does it take so long? I switched to Walgreens and my script is filled usually within an hour of receiving it and they are quick with service. One time I showed up here for my script and they said give us 15 minutes. I waited 20 and went to the window and it still wasn’t ready. I was asked to wait another 15. It wound up taking an hour. How is this okay for service?"
"I have never met such an obnoxious group of pharmacists, especially one named "Ryan." I went to Giant Eagle to get a shingles vaccine. Initially, things went well. I showed an employee my ChampVA medical card, which clearly states: "Open Access. No Referral Needed." I was asked to sit in the waiting area while the vaccine was prepared. Then, out of the blue, Ryan intervened and said my social security number -- which doubles as my Veterans' Administration beneficiary number -- was not correct. He said I needed to provide my deceased husband's social security number since he was the veteran. I said: "You don't know what you're talking about." At which point he had a tantrum. "M'am, I'm trying to help you. There's no reason to be rude. That's how Tricare works." I said, "I don't think you're trying to help me. I think you're trying to deny me medical care. This isn't Tricare. It's ChampVA, which is different. If you look at the card it says I'm the beneficiary and my social is the number." Well, Ryan really began to put on a show at that point. I believe he stomped his foot -- he definitely raised his voice. He grabbed my card and pretending he knew what he was talking about, read the back of it and said, "Oh no. This is just a Medicare card. This has nothing to do with prescriptions." Not only was he wrong, he acted like a jerk. I said some choice words and then left. Then I went through the drive-through and asked that my record be destroyed because I didn't think the pharmacy people were trustworthy. They refused. A rude Millenial smirked at me and said, "Your record has been deactivated. Have a nice day." This is a group of dummies who don't know bunk about insurance or customer service. Sexist, agist and probably racist."
"Mixed emotions. I take care of my mom and spend a lot on prescriptions....so, I have found that using the Good RX app really helps financially. I drove up one day for pickup. When you use GoodRx, you have to tell them BEFORE you checkout that you may use that app. A good employee will compare your insurance with GoodRX (takes a few seconds more). This particular day a guy with dark hair and glasses got short with me. Told me I could drive around the building slowly.and by the time i got back he would have the price compared....OR I could park, shop, then checkout. I felt like I asked the Pope to be agnostic! Wow....how terrible. Since then I have not had a problem...infact most have been nice. I would call and make sure your pills are ready first tho."
"Revised 12/5/21 They have gone downhill rapidly 3 days to get an on file prescription refilled is unexcusable. When I called they said oh we can have that ready in a half hour for you. Kinda makes their App and refill request pretty useless if you still need to call and follow up. Original: Cannot say enough good things about this pharmacy. They go above and beyond to help you not only fill your prescription but to get it at the best price. Big shout out to Mitch for helping me with my last visit. Remember they can only fill the prescription most issues start with your doctor not doing his part when writing it, I feel some people are pointing their fingers at the wrong persons."
