"My husband has been on the phone for three hours trying to close fraudulent accounts. Not a single person will help, just keep transferring. Won't even close the accounts if we drive four hours to a branch. Worst. Experience. Ever"
"My husband and I have been using the Dollar Bank app for all our banking needs (checking balances, transferring funds, etc.). About one week ago, we tried to log into the mobile app only to find that we needed to install the updated version. No problem right, wrong. After several attempts, I called customer support and left my number for a return call. After about two and a half hours, a lady called me back and when I told her what was going on while trying to log in to our account her reply was "well, you have to upgrade your phone". She did not attempt to help or find a manager that could help me. I understand technology changes but to have a representative of Dollar Bank say to a long-standing customer "upgrade your phone" that is unacceptable. It is because of hardworking, dedicated people that your bank is in business. Please equip your customer service personnel with the tools and training they need to assist customers like us or otherwise you run the risk of losing customers and being known as the unfriendliest, unhelpful bank in town."
"I have been a customer of Dollar Bank for 12 years. I was initially drawn to Dollar Bank because of it's relatively high interest rates for it's Everything Savings program. I have in excess of $20,000 in the savings account and received .010 % interest instead of the 2% quoted. Reason? Not enough transactions on the checking account. I was never told this when I opened the account. I checked the website to see if this policy was in writing, but could not find the document. I called customer service and put on hold for an eternity. I will close out the account and open one at another bank which is offering two times the Dollar Bank interest rate,"
"During pandemic I set up automatic deposits and withdrawals. Account was marked dormant two months ago. When I called to find out why my bills were having funds returned Dollar Bank told me it's because I haven't physically been to a branch in two years. Why offer online banking if you don't recognize monthly deposits and withdrawals as active? Have had an account for more than 40 years, closing it today."
