Reviews
"Great place for information about the history of the area. Completely maintained by volunteers who are local and knowledgeable. Having Welsh ancestors, I was interested to learn about the Welsh heritage of the slate mines. The old church this museum is located in is a great piece of history as well. Plan to spend time talking with the museum curators, very friendly and knowledgeable. One even worked at a slate mine herself as a bookkeeper."
"Nice little museum of local history."
"Loved it. So many antique items there. Could easily spent an hour there talking with the caretaker and listening to the stories. This was one of our stops on the pocono trolly tour. The highlight of the visit was listing to the old phonograph, sounded like brand new."
"Some really neat stuff and Information. Very friendly and helpful attendant."
