I cancelled my policy with them and was advised that my final payment due would be cancelled. 11 months later I get a notice from a collection agency with no idea what it is for. I contacted Erie and they claim they sent me a final bill for the policy period - however, I never received anything from them. Instead of attempting to contact me, a long time customer, they sent my account to collections with no further communication to me about the supposed balance that was due. Very bad business practices and very underhanded by Erie. Avoid them."
