"Amazing place not to far from NYC for kayaking and canoes. Amazing time to hang out with family and friends, even furry friends. Can take up to 5 hours. They provide a bus that takes you back to the parking lot."
"While the experience was fun, especially with friends, the setup sucked. We got there by 10:30, registered, signed waivers, for life jackets, etc., only to have to sit around and wait two hours for the bus that would take us to the launch area. The bathrooms are disgusting. You're better off peeing yourself before going into either the porta-potties or the bathroom itself. There was very little guidance afterwards, just a short brief where some high schooler will speak to the group while cars are passing by and muffling all the safety precautions and directions. We got onto the raft and where like what, where do we go? Ultimately, it's not hard to figure out. Just row, stay to the left of everything, pass a bridge, find the blue flags, or damage the equipment at your expense."
"Fun activity to do. Bring a cooler with some drinks and sandwiches make a nice day out of it. Some spots are nice to stop and take a quick look. Only hard part is getting back on the raft in the deep ends. Be careful of the rapid parts you may get ejected from the raft"
"Both times it was easy to book/reserve rafts. If you don’t have a raft or floating device renting with this company is the best route. There are a few different choices when it comes to how long/how many miles you want to do on the River. Best advice is to start earlier in the day so you have enough time to get back especially with the longer routes. Also make sure to pack some beverages and sandwiches in a waterproof lunch box/backpack or water cooler. You can choose between a raft or canoe depending on what you feel more comfortable with maneuvering."
