Walgreens Pharmacy

"Hello, Bryon here again, I frequent Walgreens a lot. It is a local store that has a good rewards program and a lot of products that save me from traveling long distance. But, their Pharmacy is another story! It is ran separate from the store, and when you call the pharmacy, if they are on the phone, you are transferred to a generic operator in another state. They do not tell you this when they answer the phone you were led to believe you’re speaking to somebody in your local Walgreens pharmacy! In my situation, I asked if my prescription was ready, I got to know the person on the phone, spoke about football, premier league, And actually said OK I’ll see you when I get there. He replied great, when I arrived, I asked for this gentleman expecting the continued conversation and pharmacist on duty looked at me like I had three heads. I told him my conversation he said I’m sorry, but I don’t know you and I’ve never spoke to you and there’s no one here by the name you’re asking for! I showed him the number I dialed he said yes that’s the number here but I didn’t speak to you and your prescription is not ready we cannot help you goodbye! He was even not aware that if the phone line is busy, you were sent to an operator in another part of United States. I found this out later after biting my tongue, because I do not rage in a store, I had to walk out. I ended up coming back when pharmacist was not on duty. The people at the front counter could not believe what I told them about the way he acted so I will not go back there. But for the store I still will patronize the Walgreens store. "I came in with a script, was told will be ready in 2 hours. Had to drive all way back home. Called to see if medicine is ready so I don't drive to store and find out its not ready, was put on hold, hung up on, Called back and robot say 2 callers ahead of me. Seriously?"

"If you are coming here to get a vaccinated, just know that even if you make an appointment, you have to wait in line with all the other people picking up their prescriptions. That is just to check in. You then have to wait to get your vaccine. Therefore, give yourself between 30 and 45 minutes to get the vaccine then another 15 minutes to wait after vaccine. This was the case on a Saturday. It might be better on weekdays."

"They have a collection bin for expired/no longer needed prescription drugs near the pharmacy counter. Very conveninent; all pharmacies should have this, but this is one of the few Walgreens that offers this."
