"We recently stayed at this hotel on our way to Florida, which we have done for a number of years. We traveled with our two small dogs. When we made the reservation we were told the charge for the dogs was a flat rate of $50.00. Upon check in, this was also verified by the desk clerk. The next morning upon check out, I noticed we were charged 2 $50.00 pet fees. I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty and she told me in a very rude tone, that it was $50.00 per dog. I proceeded to explain to her that we were not told that upon check in. She said she would have to check with the girl on duty last nite first to see if that is what she told us (basically calling me a liar) and she was also very condescending and rude.( She knows who she is is, the manager that worked the morning of January 10th) She then proceeded to tell me it was stated on the website per dog, but after showing me on her phone, it was not. She then told me I should know that anyway from staying at other hotels. She said this in a very mean and nasty tone. I have never been treated with such disrespect as a returning customer. We will obviously not be returning to your hotel after being treated that way. You should instruct your employees (especially managers), to be more polite and set good examples for the rest of the staff."
"The worst Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at! We were there from Dec20,2023-Jan 2 2024. Never anyone at the desk and when they were, they ignored you! Tried multiple times to get clean towels…was successful once through out the stay! We are Hilton Honors and Hilton Grand Vacation members! One employee apparently had a fight with her daughter and was telling another employee about it using multiple F bombs in the lobby. Very disappointing. Have family in Clinton and will never use this hotel again!!"
"I mean. Wow. First off it was impossible to get here because all the roads to it were closed. Not the hotel's fault, but when I called the front desk for assistance I was put on hold for 10 minutes and had to call back. That was the first sign this wouldn't be a good stay. Next we show up to get checked in and we're waiting at an empty front desk for 20 mins.... Hairdryer was busted, maybe to dangerous levels? Made crazy noises when I turned it on and finally broke altogether. Service was pretty curt and not very hospitable. Fire alarm goes off second night we're there. Again probably some idiot putting a potato in a microwave but like, dang. Standing outside in the freezing cold without a clue of instruction or information. Whole place is fairly shabby, walls paper thin. But I will say the rooms were clean. The cafe area is nice downstairs. But the place is hugely understaffed and the customer service is not good. It's a Hampton Inn so I'm not expecting the Ritz here, but this was one of the worst small hotel stays I've had in recent memory. I think they need more staff."
"My wife and I had a reservation. They first gave us keys to a room that already had a guest in it (who was already in bed). Then they had no other non-smoking rooms left so they put us in a smoking room. In total, it took 50 minutes from the time I walked up to the front desk until we got into a room, from 10:40pm until 11:30pm. The guests checking in before and after me both did not get rooms despite having reservations. The manager was rude to them, and would not even come out and speak to me, forcing a junior staff person to handle the issue. This was the worst hotel experience I have had in years, maybe ever, and I have no desire to stay at a Hampton Inn again."
"Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I really liked the breakfast staff (the shorter dark-haired lady) she was very helpful and easy to talk to and had a great sense of humor. The African American lady at the front desk, who wore the most fabulous glasses I've ever seen, was by far my favorite person there! She made checking in a fun time and would make us feel so welcomed when we came back in from going out. Rooms were clean. Complimentary breakfast is always a plus, and the food was actually pretty good! All in all we had a very nice time. Would stay here again."
