"STAY AWAY!!!!! Booked the cabin for two nights. Couldn’t get past the first one. We came in at 9:30pm and we were hit with a strong smell of urine and cigarettes. There were open containers of donuts on the table, which makes us guess the previous occupants left and nobody cleaned afterwards. Actually, it looked like nobody had cleaned it in weeks. The toilet was clogged. The fridge was not working. There was no shampoo or dish soap as advertised. The futon was so hard we couldn’t sleep on it so we slept in the homemade bed bunks which didn’t even have a ladder (you needed a steps tool) and looked like they would come crumbling down any minute. The manager refused to refund us for the second night we weren’t there."

"We are not rich by any means. In fact, the time is very tough since Covid like for everyone else. But we wanted to spend a nice, peaceful and quiet New Year's, so although $500+ was a little hard for us at the moment, we decided to book this place for a 3-day New Year vacation. After driving 6 hours from NYC, the host texted us and notified us that there is a water pipe burst in the cabin which we booked, but they said they were working on repairing it, so we were still hopeful. However, when we got to the cabin, it was not only a mess inside (as pictures show), but there was no water running in the kitchen, shower or bathroom. We texted the host but no response. We also called them several times but no answer. After waiting for many hours in the cabin, at around 8pm we ended up having to look for a cheap motel and spend our New Year's Eve and New Year's there. The worst part is that they are not refunding the money. We submitted many photos of the cabin that show how messy it was inside, and also the text messages we received from the host regarding water pipe burst; however, the booking company says there is not enough evidence to prove that the cabin had problems and we should have recorded the whole incident on video. Now, we lost over $500 which is really very tough for us right now, but more than anything, we feel extremely disappointed that we could not start the new year peacefully and quietly to hope for a better time in 2023. I'm writing this review because we don't want anyone else to be scammed like we were. By the way, the host is still not responding to our texts or answering/returning our calls as of now (1/17/23) Also, I need to add one last thing: this place is NOT QUIET by any means. There is a lumber mill factory right behind the cabins which is operated 24/7, so you will be hearing very loud constant noises from the factory even inside the cabins, even at night. If you're looking for a quiet experience, this is not the right place."

"We booked this for a month off Airbnb (cost us 2,700$). I had to leave because of my thyroid condition. Was told to provide medical documentation in order to get a refund. THEN Johnny, the only time I spoke with him, was him sending me nasty messages after they offered to give me $600 back, even though we stayed there for 6/28 nights. They said they were being "understanding" about the situation. They are requiring my personal medical history and information and holding my money hostage. They also do NOT follow COVID regulations and I fell sick pretty shortly after being greeted by Brittany in the cabin with no mask on. So, even though we aren't there for 3 weeks of our reservation, they want to just rob us of our money. Awful management.. awful owners. They will only like you if you're white, have a steady job, and look a certain type of way. Do NOT stay here if you're not white. It's a confederate loving area."

"These cozy little cabins were perfect for the getaway I was looking for. Just minutes from hiking trails and the river! The property owner and managers were friendly and responsive. The cabin had everything we needed!"
