"We loved our visit to Stewartstown railroad which included a train ride as well as a tour of the historic train station. The volunteers were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to share the history of the railroad company, as well as other historical railroad facts and anecdotes. A great family day trip for anyone from the age of 5 to 95!"

"A fun ride! Went with my wife yesterday and we had such a good time. The volunteers put in so much of their time and make it such an enjoyable experience. Everyone is kind and really cares about the train preservation. The one con is that the train ride is a bit short. I did a bit of research online and saw that the train rode all the way to New Freedom until the early 2000’s when there was a derailment. They told us yesterday that they are trying to fix the tracks to get the train running to New Freedom again, but that it would take years. I wish a portion or whole of the train track was repurposed into a bike trail to connect with the NCR trail. I ride my bike by road to the Shrewsbury Park and Ride and it’s a bit dangerous. This train track runs through it and would be so much safer to bike on. Regardless, the Stewartstown Railroad is wonderfully preserved and is a fun experience, even though it is a bit short."
