Reviews
"I see my review has mysteriously fallen off. I will never forget the abusive manner in which Mr. Mahoney handled my federal employment case! As a matter of fact, it was my complaint to the DC Bar regarding Mr. Mahoney’s unethical behavior, which caused him being disciplined in 2016. John, as you told me once to “move on with my life”, which I have done. However, I do believe that people should be properly forewarned and not have your misdeeds buried. Regardless of all the awards you tout, you intentionally caused me and my case harm. I can forgive but will never forget."
"Email I received from these uncaring people without any type of fact specific conversation or consultation. “We generally require a $79,500 initial fee advance to take on any new federal employee court civil action, which equates to a 100-hour estimate at my current DOJ-set $795/hr. rate, and then a monthly supplemental fee advance payment of $15,900 each month thereafter until the case is completed. USDC cases can cost $250,000 or so in atorneys’ fees to completion. We always seek to have the agency reimburse your atorneys fees as part of any settlement agreement or favorable ruling before the district court. If you are interested in having me represent you, email me back and let me know. I will the email you a proposed fee agreement and Power of Attorney form covering our representation of you.” If I lost my job due to discrimination who has 100k to pay for an attorney? AmeriKKKa"
"I'm a current client of Mahoney and I can say without doubt feel he has committed malpractice and frund in my case and I filed a complaint against him with the Florida Bar Association."
"Mr. Mahoney was recommended by one of his previous clients, who had a successful outcome. My initial consultation with him far exceeded my expectations. When you are experiencing distressful bureaucratic situations, it is difficult to think clearly and procedurally. Mr. Mahoney’s initial consultation (in non-legal jargon) offered an incredible opportunity to unpack and uncomplicate the legal process while exploring actionable options for further consideration."
"I was quite surprised when my initial consultation was conducted by Mr. Mahoney himself rather than a supporting attorney at his firm. He is clearly exceptionally well versed in federal employment law and quickly understood the basic elements of my specific EEO case. He clearly articulated alternatives and possible outcomes and explained the process and associated fees for obtaining his firm as formal counsel to represent me. I did not take this as being focused on money, but rather a good consideration of transparency for clients. He was personable, patient and honest in addressing expectations. Although we are at the beginning of the process Mr. Mahoney gave me confidence that my interests will be well served by him and his proven staff."
