"Fauchere Igloo experience will leave you out in the cold. Faucheres advertises "the igloo experience", complete w/holiday décor, a giant light up snowflake & a full Bar Louis Menu. They opened paid reservations on 11/24/2023 for parties of 4 for 10$ per person. I believed this meant they were ready for customers, I learned after this experience this was not the case. I made my reservation for 11/27 it was a weekday, i figured it would be busy on the weekend. Upon arrival no one was by the igloos or in the Delmonico Room foyer. So the concierge says go downstairs? not she would call the staff for us but have us go on a trip to another location. We get there and the staff acted disturbed. No welcomes, just go back upstairs she will be their soon. A different person meets us & directs us to décor. A small record player, shows us blankets & get our drink orders. She tells us she will give us 2 bread baskets. We ask them will the holiday lights be turned on. The waitress says she will check. So she comes back to take our soup, salad, & appetizers order. She informs us no lights because they are not set up yet. So the right off the bat the Igloo experience they promised w/the paid reservation is not going to happen. The waitress apologizes &sets one basket of wrapped bread onto the table w/2 very small rolls. Now we make our order 2 onion soups 14$ea, 2 sushi pizzas24$ ea, 2 ox-tail rillettes 16$ ea. Our onion soups arrives w/ more apologies that there is no Sushi Pizza. We ask for more bread since the basket only had 2 rolls & we are 4 people. The soup is PURE OIL. I immediately got nauseous. It's obvious it was reheated from yesterday. The ox-tail rillettes are completely hard, & gamey . Hard ox-tail meat again is a sign that its old & went rancid. At this point im not only unimpressed, I am disappointed & in shock at the rotten menu. The experience should have been billed as a horror Halloween night not a Winter wonderland Holiday Experience. The mains come & we did enjoy them but much was left to be desired. We ordered Black Garlic Salmon, Pan Roasted Chicken, Pappardelle, & Duck Breast Duo. We had dessert & cappuccino that was lovely. More so i had issues opentable who took my money just fine for the reservations won't post the review, but My photos from the night published on yelp are being used by Fraucheres. Proving my review is 100% legit. Added are the screenshots and photos of the food"
"Very nice Inn. Our room was a bit on the cold side but it's an old building and it was eight degrees out the night of our stay. It was very cozy, well appointed and the bed was super comfortable. The rain shower head in the bath was a nice touch as well as the Nespresso coffee maker in the closet. Staff was friendly. We are downstairs at Bar Louis. Our Bartender Bob was lovely to chat with and made great drinks. The food was ok. The cheese charcuterie board was tasty but they used American prosciutto and it was inedible. The burgers were fine, but overall expensive for no real reason. There was a breakfast included in the morning and it was nice. The juices didn't taste real, but the coffee was hot and they had a nice selection of eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, croissants and other pastries as well as yogurt and fruit. The dining area where we ate in was very pretty. They only had one person at the front desk who seemed to be doing things in the dining room and kitchen as well. A call downstairs to ask a question took about a half an hour to get picked up and checking out took a while before we flagged her down in the dining room. I'm not really blaming her though. It seemed she was being asked to bus tables besides handling things at the front desk. Overall, we had a very nice stay and hope to return again someday."
"Room was beariful. Had a cute sitting room with an electric fireplace. Was incredibly romantic. Hotel restaurant was very disappointing. salmon was served raw/cold. Plan on eating at other restaurants."
"We loved staying here! The room was super nice! The only downside of the room was it was a little noisy but otherwise super nice! The hotel had a delicious breakfast! The service was also great!"
