"Shame on this university for employing law professors such as Professor Jonathan Turley to teach law!! The law is supposed to be non partisan and based on the US CONSTITUTION and I just witnessed him on FOX NEWS clearly for which his appearance was paid for stating that an old clause in the Constitution was used in a case??? All the clauses in the US CONSTITUTION are relevant!! He should be removed from this post for abandoning the teaching of law to young minded students who need to be taught to follow the law regardless of their political beliefs!!! The fact that the schools administrators boards etc are allowing this rhetoric is disturbing outside of illegal!!! If you want to be or have a well educated well versed attorney in your family don’t allow your children to attend this school!! And we need to watch for ALL ATTORNEYS regardless of political parties who are not following the rules of law in regards to the constitution in which our countries fundamental values rights and freedoms are based regardless of the age of the section of the constitution being cited!!! SHAMEFUL!!"
"GW Law has great classes but this is very much a sink or swim law school. The student body is not collegial, not even between students from different years and classes. There are also a number of professors that have specific views that you need to basically adopt or suffer the consequences. The administration is not helpful and a lot of the policies make things more stressful than they need to be. Sure, they will help with basic questions but students generally seem to feel is that it’s better to just try to figure things out on your own. Overall - there are some of great professors but a few great professors cannot make up for awful law school administrators (and several very bad professors who care more about their political careers than teaching). Class selection seems decent on the surface but not once you realize how many professors you need to avoid to survive this place. The law school administration is unfortunately not very helpful when it comes to bar prep, not even for students taking the bar in DC! They do nothing to bring the student body together or to support us in applying or prep. Very disappointing. Please note, law students at other law schools enjoy study groups, guides, informational sessions on how to best navigate the process, and prep materials that are put together by professors/admin and even the student bar association…this is nonexistent here."
"There are some great professors at GW law but there are also some extremely miserable ones that have no business teaching here. Unfortunately, the university continues to employ both kinds year after year. When students are confronted with a bad professor or situation, the dean of students office does not step in to remedy the problem and ultimately defends the professor. Students are ultimately left feeling powerless to the administration. Some professors are seemingly kept on for their titles and connections rather than their skill/talent. So very predictably D.C. There is also a lack of support when it comes to preparing for the bar exam. If you google GW Law bar prep you will find limited general advice on the university website. That is the extent of what you are offered as a student. Also, there is no support in terms of getting the classes you want and need. It is a lottery system. Need a class to fulfill a concentration requirement ? Too bad."

"OUTSTANDING INSTITUTION to employ a law professor like Jonathan Turley. He reflects high credit and quality merit to this law school by exemplifying reason and logical consideration when examining our Constitutional Laws. I hope every staff member and student is proud to know that such an individual is a representation of their instution. I hope all students see his example set before them as one to emulate that when called to a higher purpose of interpreting the Constitution for a Congressional body, one must set aside all personal biases and desires or agendas to fulfill the duty set before them and interpret the facts in light of the law without prejudice. I commend this professor and this institution he represents."
