"I am writing to share my experience and concerns regarding the teachers at your daycare, specifically those responsible for the 2-year-old age group. While I appreciate the professionalism and helpfulness of your administration, my interactions with the teachers in the 2's room have left me deeply disappointed. From the very beginning, it was evident that these teachers lacked the warmth, friendliness, and welcoming attitude that are crucial when dealing with toddlers and their parents. Despite our efforts to communicate and work together, they became increasingly distant, even ignoring us during drop-off and pick-up times. I understand that my son can be a bit stubborn and may not always follow instructions, but we were hopeful that things would improve over time. We even decided to adjust his schedule, picking him up early, in the hope of making his transition smoother. However, it was disheartening to see that even during these shorter periods, the teachers were unable to provide the support and care we expected. I want to emphasize that your management team has been exemplary in their responsiveness and efforts to address our concerns. They consistently demonstrated their willingness to help, and for that, I am grateful. However, the teachers in the 2's room seemed to lack the patience and understanding necessary for dealing with toddlers. It appeared as if these teachers either took things personally with the children or expected 2-year-olds to behave like adults. This left me feeling confused and regretful about subjecting my son to an environment that was meant to be nurturing and educational but ended up feeling like a source of stress for him. My intention in enrolling my son in daycare was for him to socialize, learn valuable skills, follow instructions, and ultimately, enjoy his time there. Sadly, I did not witness much progress in these areas during his time in the 2's room. I had discussions with your management team about my concerns, and they agreed that additional training and more empathy from the teachers are essential. I sincerely hope that this feedback prompts you to consider further training and support for your teachers, particularly those working with younger children. A daycare should be a place where children feel safe, nurtured, and encouraged to grow, and I believe this can be achieved with the right guidance and mindset from the educators. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope that Childtime Daycare can continue to provide a positive and nurturing environment for all children in your care. Sincerely, Esayas"
"Our daughter attended Childtime at the Alexandria location in 2017,18, 19, and 2021. Childtime did a great job, preparing our daughter for kindergarten. Our daughter made many friends there, and the staff were very supportive and friendly"
"I honestly became so sad when reading Childtime of Alexandria’s past reviews, more specifically toward the Infant room. If there is a parent who is more over protective of their baby than I am, I would be surprised because I can be over the top. These women in the infant room have completely won my heart when it comes to caring for my baby boy. Renee, Rosslyn, Riyna —I call them the dynamic trio — AMAZING. I’ve never seen such hard work and love and care when it comes to infant care. These babies are always so happy when I come for pickup and drop off. Needless to say, I am very happy with this facility and wouldn’t want to bring my baby anywhere else. I thought that their hard work deserved some recognition :) You three make me feel secure knowing my baby is safe when I’m at work during the week, thank you for everything you do."
"I found this daycare looking for live streaming capability. The director gave me a tour yesterday, she was really nice to me and the place is overall nice. However, the conscious part of me had to write this review for the parents out there. I witnessed a heartbreaking scene in the infant room, the babies were left crying alone, I can tell one baby cried so much that her tear dried up and her eyes were so red, and she just looked like lost any hope, and another baby (looked like barely 1-2 month old) was also crying without care. There were two teachers in the rooms and they were just taking their sweet time and acted nonchalant. The mother instinct in me just wanted to go pick those babies up and sooth them. Another baby was left in the corner inside a crib looking out, nobody was interacting with him and he looked sad :( The sad part is the director was with me while this was happening and she didn’t say anything to the teachers. This tells me that the scene is norm. I was shock and I didn’t know what to say after that. I wish I had brought my concern up to the director while I was there. But I will not be sending my baby there."
"I writing this review to help any other parent who are looking for a day care . I was excited to take my infant to childtime Alexandria location because I could upload an app that is available to me to look in and see what my infant is doing from time to time. To my disllike I watch as my baby was not getting his simple need meant as being pick up or rock in the chiar as the staff watch on ingoring his basic need for comfort. The director in the facilty was made aware of what took place and still throughtout the day my infant wonder aroung the room with NO activities. So disppointmented. My infant had only been in childtime for two days and if I had upload my app the frist day of his admmision I of would pick sigh of negative emotional healthy for my infant with his care there. I remove my baby and ask for a refund they did not follow up requesting the amount they was giving me. I was told by the director she will get back with me it been a week am not going to fight and waste my time. I am in a much better daycare am so relief that I was able to find a place where my baby is safe and happy hope this help another parent."
