Severna Park Library - Anne Arundel County Public Library

"Really nice library, but a bit small, and many of the shelves aren't even full. Biggest complaint is the noise; the place is basically one large room without any reading or meeting rooms separated. So it was especially annoying to have someone talking on their Zoom call right next to a reading chair. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And everything was clean and tidy."

"Not sure why this library is getting such high marks. It's EXTREMELY small; really just a single room, with no nooks or side areas, much less private rooms with doors. The small size also means it's fairly loud, for a library, since nothing masks anyone's voice, or other sounds. Also, despite this size, I was unable to get a consistent connection to either of the two wifi networks. The book shelves are also pretty empty, but I guess that's normal for libraries nowadays. I know the county library is close by, and much bigger, but I would still expect something much better from Severna Park."

"Was looking for a quiet place to get work done and read as my dogs bark at every cat and delivery truck at home. However this is the noisiest library I've ever been too. Whether it's the kids running around with parents chasing and yelling at them or the staff behind the counter laughing it up with each other like coworkers do. It's like a daycare in here. What happened to shhhhhhhhhh? This is a very busy library which is really great to see. But it's also more of a reason to enforce the rules."

"Wide selection of books. And you can find a book on their website if it isn't at the linraralso they have a ton of events that happen everday."
