"We had a really great experience at this hotel! The location is great as it is right near everything at the Inner Harbor and very close for walking to everything in that area. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean! The hotel felt historic and modern at the same time. We had a nice view from our windows too! The mattresses were surprisingly comfortable and we had a nice sleep. The bathroom is small, and we wished the layout had been a little more convenient, but for a one night stay, it was sufficient. We used valet parking and it was very helpful as the area is not the greatest for parking otherwise. The complimentary breakfast had many options and was a pretty typical hotel breakfast, but sufficient."
"We enjoyed our two-night stay in this hotel. We liked the historic vibe of the building/rooms…very spacious and comfortable. We used valet for parking (very prompt & courteous), and were able to enjoy the hot breakfast each morning. The staff even let us grab a to-go box before they were open when we had an early morning departure planned. Very walkable to everything downtown/inner harbor. Our event was at the convention center, only blocks away."
"One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms have a kitchenette and are extremely spacious. We easily fit two pack n plays in a double Queen room. It was very clean. My toddler crawled around and couldn’t find one thing on the ground! It is an easy couple of blocks to walk to the inner harbor. 6:30am breakfast- something for everyone to enjoy. Coffee is served all day with popcorn in the afternoon."
"Building with character close to the harbour area. Interesting small reminders of the original building including the old elevators. Very clean (kudos to the cleaning staff)! Very friendly service especially during breakfast and social nights. The beds and pillows are so comfortable! Love that they are more environmentally friendly than other hotels with real plates, cups and cutlery during meals, as well as soap/shampoo dispensers in the bathroom instead of single use ones. Fairly complete kitchen with utensils, hob, microwave and full fridge present so you can cook for yourself if you want. Unfortunately, as it’s an old building, soundproofing can be quite terrible. I can hear the banging of doors outside. Also, the appliances in my room (might be the fridge), rattle around quite loudly every so often so this may be concerning for light sleepers. Still, a great hotel and good base as it’s near the harbour and a short walk to the convention centre."
"My son and I stayed at Staybridge Suites for 2 nights in August. I opted for the valet parking package so that I wouldn't have to worry about dealing with parking myself. Everything that we wanted to visit was within walking distance anyhow. Valet parking was awesome. Our attendant was upbeat, friendly, and helpful. The hotel itself was really interesting. It is the former Chamber of Commerce building, and has many historic details. A plaque on the front of the building tells its story. Our suite interior was clean and tastefully decorated. My only complaint as far as cleanliness goes is the window. The outside was so filthy that we could barely see out. We were looking forward to enjoying the city view since we are from the county. The windows in the common areas were clean, so I'm not sure why the windows in the rooms were so bad. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings and everything was delicious. Fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, bagels, eggs, sausage, waffles made to order, really tasty coffee and lots of other treats. Seating area has a large fish tank that my son enjoyed. But the second morning was ridiculously busy, even though it was a weekday. Many patrons were left standing awkwardly to eat. The line for waffles wasn't worth waiting. Location was perfect, and we could simply walk a couple of blocks to visit the Inner Harbor, National Aquarium, and a variety of restaurants. Many people begging for money and sleeping on the streets on our short walk, though. Wouldn't leave the hotel after dark."
