"I made reservations for a birthday dinner with a group of 10. Our table was ready when we arrived and we were seated quickly. First off, the decor is beautiful and IG worthy. The servers were patient in taking our order and answered all of our questions. The food and presentation is wonderful! The drinks get a 10 out of 10! We brought a cake and forgot a knife to cut with and a lighter for the candle. They were kind enough to let us use their utensils. The Akeno staff definitely know about service and food preparation. Thank you all for an amazing time!!!"

"The restaurant is really cute and a great vibe. I went alone and sat at the bar. The employees were fantastic, they checked on me several times and the service was fast. The drinks and sushi rolls were great as well."

"The wife and I visited a few museums and just wanted something lite to snack on. My wife looked at the menu online and we said let's give it a try. We were greeted immediately and was told we can have a seat anywhere we wanted. My wife eats Crab Rangoon whenever it's on the menu, she ordered that as her app. I did the Gyoza, both were pretty good. We did share a Dragon Roll, which was really good as well. Overall, the service was good, the vibes were cool, the food was fresh and we did not wait long for our order. They did have a happy hour menu, offered hot sake and a variety of hot teas."

"Akeno is an absolute MUST TRY if you want quality and delicious sushi in the DC area. Akeno was gorgeous on the inside and the presentation of their shashimi plates were spectacular. The fish was so fresh, high-quality and melt in your mouth perfect. Alan and Achi were the awesome sushi chefs that made our experience so special. They have super yummy drinks and a great deal on drinks during happy hour! I can’t wait to return and try their Thai food and other sushi as well!"

"New restaurant that opened up that offers both sushi and Thai food. While it seems like a weird mix, I really liked the food that they offered and their Ume Shiso Sushi rolls were delicious! They are located right upstairs and the space is well-decorated, the staff are incredibly kind, and their prices are fair for DC. Would definitely recommend."
