Bonchon Germantown

"We went for dinner and wanted to eat in the restaurant (not take-out). We had to ring a bell on the counter because no one was around. A nice young man came out and asked us if we had a pickup order. We said no, but that we wanted to eat there. He seemed surprised. He said for us to have a seat anywhere and someone would be out to take our order. We sat down and waited for nearly 10-15 minutes and no one even came out of the kitchen to greet us. WE WALKED OUT. Obviously, this place doesn't want customers in their restaurant....they only want "to-go" orders. All 4-5 bar beer taps were all closed and/or not working. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED. This place used to be good. I guess they will only stay in business for to-go orders. We loved their wings & drums, BUT WILL NOT BE BACK. We found another restaurant in Germantown that has great Korean wings and will go there."

"All I got was a bowl of chicken fried rice and a order of fries. Found out when I got home that the rice was less than a half a bowl. The fries didn’t make it home but it was not a lot at all… So much for spending $36 on dinner"

"Great place for fried chicken. Large seating place and mouth watery spicy signature fried Chicken. Any part of chicken with the spicy sauce is really delicious. It is a must try dish. If you want more spicy, try Fiery Spicy option. Chicken are made to order. We have been regular customers for 4 years. One suggestion is that the consistency of the fried chicken. Most of the time it was juicy, some times it is dry. Drive through, wheel chair accessible entrance, clean restrooms. Entrances faces east and North. Sitting tables, high tables, sofa style and also separated large group seating area available. Hi-chairs for toddlers. Bar area. We moved out of the county, but we still come down to this place. And I recommend it."

"I went there with parents for a casual lunch. But, we were so disappointed. It was very slightly rainy. The floor of the restaurant was very slippery. It was very hard to walk on it. We had to hold the chairs and move. Not sure it is slippery all the time or just that day. There were only a cashier and a waitress. They were very polite. But, they were too busy to serve dinne-in customers. We had to sit there without any service for 20 minutes. I couldn’t wait and go to the cashier to place order directly. And after the lunch, we had waited for half an hour since the cashier said he would brought boxes for us. Finally, I had to went to the cashier and got the boxes myself. One of the boxes was so disgusting - a big dried mark of soup or sauce in it. I returned it immediately. As for the food, it was so so. Yes, you can be fed up for sure. I will not go there any more."

"We enjoy Bonchon but don't go often because the wait for making the chicken tends to be long. However, it was fairly short this time maybe because we didn't get the drumsticks? The server was attentive and the food was delicious. Our only comment is that the chicken chunks aren't big on the Crunchy Chicken Bowl so double frying them made them hard and not as juicy. Everything else was great!"
