Willow Pointe Apartments

"I would put 0 stars if i could. Please consider all the bad reviews before deciding to live here. We weren’t provided with a tour of the apartment before moving, I’ve never heard of a complex that doesn’t provide tours to potential residents. We ended up moving to an apartment with horrible conditions when transferring to another unit after the first year of being there. The apartment wasn't cleaned properly, vent filters weren’t changed, main door had a crack in the side which is a major safety issue, and shower drains were clogged to the point where the tub would fill up when showering. Second, these apartments are overpriced compared to the run-down condition of the complex. These are not luxury apartments by any means, the leasing office is not well kept with broken doors and chipped paint. Also consider that the complex is right by the PA Turnpike and its very noisy. Their maintenance and management are negligent and have no idea what they’re doing. We put in 3 maintenance requests in a span of 4 weeks for a running toilet and other water issues that were never rectified each time the maintenance crew came by. We received an insanely high water bill due to issues they cannot fix. Our water bill has never been high in the 2 years of living here and refuse to reimburse the amount even after admitting this was due to a running toilet and not water consumption. Also note that the leasing office never picks up the phone, and if you go in person the manager “ Keely “ is either at the gym, picking up food, or left early. I rushed back home from work one day to speak to the manager at 4:00 (they close at 5:00) she was on her way out locking her door. And its always like this, she is always not there. Also good luck with having valuable items delivered to you, we’ve had our packages stolen from the mail room on multiple occasions, there is zero security in this complex as they don’t even have basic security cameras set up in a public mail room that everyone has access to. When we asked the leasing office manager for corporates email for 3 consecutive days, each day she’d say she’ll get the contact info for us by the next day, we never received it. We had to ask a fellow resident who has also been dealing with issues for corporates contact information."

"Don’t rent here. They do not refund full deposit when you vacate. I lived there for 4 years. My apartment was spotless. They charged for new carpet after I left. 4 year old carpet should be replaced for new owner at the expense of corporate. Just had normal wear. Utilities bills were paid up to date. . They charged additional utility fees until they rerented the apartment. A complete ripoff. Pool was closed most of the summer. They blamed it on no lifeguard staffing."

"September/October 2023 Review: Wanted to add to my previous review that contacting Willow Pointe still appears to be a problem, but I guess this also seems to be plaguing a lot of "Luxury" apartment complexes. It took several calls and days of trying before I spoke to a real person, but that person I spoke to was not able to answer my questions. I was told that I would receive a callback the next day. As you would expect with where I am going, I never got that callback. I did eventually callback myself to get those questions clarified and a tour scheduled. For a property that isn't that old (opened in 2019), it feels a bit rundown. I think that is very apparent when taking a look around the clubhouse to see broken pool sticks, very scratched up paint on doors leading in/out of apartment buildings, doors for the clubhouse don't close all the way, etc; They were not able to supply an apartment map, so if you are curious where a unit would be, you'll have to call and hope they pickup since one is not available on their site. You may want to consider this since the apartment complex is right on 276... If you are interested in other useful information like fees, internet provider, if gas is used, etc; then here is that list! - $250 amenity fee per lease - $50 application fee - 1 month's rent + security deposit due - $16 monthly trash fee (valet trash services M-F) - Parking is free for the lot & guests - Parking garage is $75 a month - Internet providers are Verizon Fios + Comcast - Stove uses gas, everything else is electric - Gym seemed barebones/small, may want to consider a membership - No garbage disposal in units Review below is from ~September 2022: I've attempted to call Willow Pointe roughly 7+ times over the past 2 weeks, and they have not picked up a single time. I would give them the benefit of the doubt the first 2 calls, but my other calls were spaced out and at different times of the day while they were open. I just wanted to ask a few questions since not everything is clarified on their website, but it looks like it doesn't matter since they won't pickup and since they are sold out on units now. If they are doing this to a potential resident, I can only wonder what they'll do to an actual resident. Wish everyone else luck with them."

"I have just recently moved in here & cannot say enough good things. Upon move in the place was in immaculate condition. They exceeded my expectations, honestly (since my prior residence was actually more expensive & "supposed" to be considered to be nicer). The other residents are very welcoming & friendly. I personally feel that given their location to the turnpike it's very quiet indoors (I would like to add, however, that I am not in the building closest to the turnpike). While inside, I also can barely hear anything from my adjoining units. (In my previous place I could literally hear everything from my neighbors & that wasn't even in a building) I'd really like to give 4.5 stars but this won't allow for half stars, as there are 2 small reasons why I did not give 5 stars. 1) Prior to moving in, getting a hold of someone on the phone was pretty much impossible. I could only contact via email & that sometimes would take multiple follow ups before getting a response. (So, after touring the 2 bedroom model & I only needed a 1 bedroom den or loft unit, I basically moved forward with picking a unit blind). 2) The units do NOT have garbage disposals & they won't allow you to put one in on your own. I have actually never not had one so it's been a small adjustment getting used to not having one. Now, they do pick up your trash (directly outside your front door) 5 times a week which is definitely a huge help."

"I lived in this apartment complex for a little over 2 years, When we initially looked at these apartments we were shown a nice two bedroom and we decided to take it... the problem was the apartment they gave us was on the other side of the building facing the highway... with no kind of sound protection, We were also given no instructions on how to operate the thermostat (a Honeywell system) so that would just do as it pleased, sometimes blowing cold air non-stop for hours which was fine because the system is so loud is actually drowned out the sounds of the highway. Also no garbage disposals, Don't know why but I hope you like manually cleaning kitchen sinks. This place drove us nuts so we broke the lease early and now we are stuck paying the monthly rent on an apartment we can't live in and just had to pay to re-carpet until they find a deaf person who loves being frozen and looking at dumpsters"
