"so I walked into this restaurant, and I talk to this bald man with a hat and glasses. Now, knowing his name is Paul, I asked him a simple question. How was your day going and he replied “better then yours” THEN proceeded to verbally harass me and tell me to hurry up while ordering. i ended up leaving feeling depressed and HUNGRY"
"Ordered Sunday night dinner from Alfonso of Hillsborough. We order there often enough and it is always worth the price and is good. We have had problems but not as bad as yesterday. We typically pick up but last night we had it delivered and paid cash. Paul took the order: 1 chicken franchisee and 2 shrimp parm. It was repeated back to us correctly. Opening the order after delivery how surprised were we to find all chicken dishes, no shrimp and the second order was burnt. I called and spoke to Paul. Told him the order was wrong and not sure how shrimp gets confused with chicken. He offered nothing to correct the problem. He did even take responsibility nor did he apologize. Looking more closely to past reviews, this is not the first time Paul has reacted like this. I guess he cares not a bit about a customer base. When the owner was on premises, he always corrected the problems above and beyond. Paul doesn’t care. He got paid. Good for him. Hope he’s happy."
"Ordered a whole cheese steak and a cup of of soup for 2 people. The total was 18.50$. Opened the cheese steak to find out it was only 6 inches even though I asked the guy if it was a whole sandwich and he assured me it was. Very disappointed. Over priced food and still left hungry."
"We stopped in on a Friday evening for dinner. The dining room was a bit odd (catering cases) but we sat down at a table for our meal. Service was good and friendly. We started with an order of garlic knots - they were good. We had two pizzas: a BLT pizza (we ordered no tomato) and a Chicago style stuffed pizza. The thin crust on the BLT was outstanding! The stuffed pizza was really good as well. We got 2 small pizzas and ended up taking a lot to go. We'll definitely stop back here in our next time in town"
"Alfonso's Pizzeria and Restaurant is tucked in a strip mall at a busy intersection off of 206. There is ample parking and the restaurant is separated into a dining in section and a takeout section. The dine-in section has a good atmosphere with tasteful decorations and a very comfortable feel to it. The staff was very polite and happy to do what they could to make my experience positive. The best part about dining in is the bread that gets brought to the table. The bread is delicious and fluffy, pairing well with butter. Though I haven't tried a standard plain slice yet, the pizza I have sampled is very decent. The personal pie I had was half sausage and half plain and used the same base and crust as the bread that was delivered to the table. The sausage was of the chunky variety and tasted great. In the normal slices I ordered, the pan slice had fresh cheese and a crispy crust and base combo. The color was slightly more orange than I'm used to, but the taste was consistent with most pan-style slices I've ordered. I think perhaps that it was the cheese that gave it this color. Overall the sauce was decent and I would happily order the slice again. The meat lovers slice was very filling and featured ham, sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. The slice is about what you'd expect from any pizzeria and didn't stand out too much. It is a good choice if you're hungry. I will be sure to stop in and try the plain slice one of these days to get a gauge on their standard quality."
