"I have a 2014 Civic. We got the transmission serviced. 200 miles later, the check transmission indicator came up. We brought it back to North Point Sunoco... they did some verifications and sent us onward to the dealer for a matching recall. There was no matching recall, the dealer says the transmission is dead... speed sensor is melted and can't be removed... transmission oil is dark and has shards of metal (which can mean anything). Now I am on the hook for an $8k transmission repair. Long story, short and without hysteria... I can no longer trust repair work to North Point Sunoco. Either they didn't see what the dealer saw or they were partly responsible for the transmission failure. Sure, there's room for doubt... Maybe it's a faulty Honda transmission. They're nice enough guys but this has gotten too costly for me to ever take anything other than an inspection back to this shop."
"I got shut down by a suddenly failed alternator the morning before I was scheduled for a road trip north and so called Sunoco near my home and explained my predicament. The manager said, “No problem, just bring the car in before noon and we will get it done.” They emailed me a pre-authorization so the parts were already on order before I got there and the car was done by 4 pm. Fast response and good work. I had a worry free trip!!! :-)"
"Charged a full hour labor to replace a speed sensor. I told them I will pay, I just need to know why it took an hour to take a tire off, unscrew the old speed sensor, put in the new speed sensor, and put the tire back on. The service manager got defensive and aggressive. I kept reiterating that I just want to know why they’re charging an hour for a job that most likely took them less than 30 min (if that). Service manager (Frank) got irate and said he wasn’t helping me because I’m being rude. He claimed that I was trying to set my own prices, which I kept telling him, I understand the price rate, I’m just not convinced for the time billed. He pointed that I signed the estimate for 1 hour of work, but when I signed it, he explicitly said the estimate covers for unexpected work like broken bolts, screws. Before I signed, I asked him if the actual job could take less time than estimated, and he said yes. After all, it is an estimate acknowledgment, not a payment agreement. I asked to get a rough list of each task the mechanic performed and a rough time estimate for each task but he refused. I asked him, did it take you guys 15 min just to take the tire off? Which he replied yes, but would not document it. He blew up saying, go ahead, complain about me, my name is Frank, go ahead! Seeing that he was beyond reasoning, I told him to have a good day and went along my day. I don’t think he had any reason to be offended by my request for information and if he really stood by his work, he shouldn’t get defensive. I paid and got out, and my car still has the same engine lights. I can’t tell if they did anything and apparently they don’t want to document what they actually did. It appears the service manager has dealt with a lot of complaints/unhappy customers and he is still unable to resolve them professionally."
"First time customer today, and received outstanding service. Made an appointment for a synthetic oil change and both the state's safety & emissions inspections - turns out, the inspections are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. I was #3 in the line, so they kept my keys while I was able to go and get my haircut (NP Barbers) and have the lunch special at Finn Thai - both of these establishments are also top-notch BTW. When I came back a little over an hour later, they were just finishing up with the oil change. Got my paperwork and paid the bill and was out in under 90 minutes. Good news is I passed the inspections and the data for the emissions one was passed electronically to the VA DMV w/in an hour, so I was able to (finally!) complete my registration process. Friendly and personal service. Would definitely return and would highly recommend these guys!"
"Given for steering couple replacement and they never mentioned the side effects and during delivery also. After taken and went on ride and called back saying that it is additional cost of 175$ to align. Simply like cheating the customer. Not recommended at any cost to this place especially the person FRANK not on his words"
